While this hotel is clean and well located for Clifden town, it is by no means deserving of its apparent 4 Star rating and its 190 euro a night price. It is dated and shabby looking and upon entering only looks vaguely similar to photos on the website which I assume were taken several years ago. On arrival I was...

So bad we didn't stay and checked into a local B&B instead (which was much cleaner and brighter!) How this place has 4 stars I have no idea...we had booked a room with a view but on arrival we were told that a large group had booked after us and had requested to be together so we were 'bumped' into...

Where do I begin?. I had the pleasure once again to stay at this amazing hotel/castle facility this past febuary 2014. The minute you arrive to check in you are given this awesome feeling of being highly appreaciated that you selected to stay at this superb hotel. As always the receptionist is the most pleasant and friendly person one could...

Thank you Paul and Brian for a very memorable stay at your property. We loved our accommodations. More importantly, we so enjoyed the staff and both of you. What fun! The evening champagne reception and music in the bar was wonderful. Kudos to John the bartender. What a nice man. The dining room was gorgeous and the cuisine delightful. Wait...

The best part of this hotel for us was that the location is quaint, peaceful and beautiful. We had a wonderful view from our room window where we could see the town of Clifden and the mountains. We spent a full day just walking around the area and exploring the beautiful land around the hotel. The room was a decent...

What a lovely place. Very spacious rooms with all the amenities. Sumptuous breakfast. Impeccable service. Just one problem. It was raining when we arrived late in the evening ... you could not drive to the door to drop of luggage and passengers, and we got drenched getting in.

Stayed in Abbeyglen for 1 night for my mum's 60th party. The legendary sing song in the residents bar didn't disappoint nor did any other aspect of the hotel. Staff are friendly and helpful, rooms are comfortable and the food was excellent. Little pricey but you get what you pay for.

Wow is all I can say! Wish I had stayed more than one night to explore the area which was magnificent. The rooms were the best we had in Ireland and the attention to detail made me think of the Plaza in New York. I felt like queen for the day and my guests and I had smiles on our...

The wife and I stayed a week in Ireland and used Kinsale as our home base. We decided to do the west coast and Galway and chose the Abbeyglen Castle Hotel for a one night stay. When we arrived in late evening the hotel was more than expected. It is nestled in a small valley in the mountains. Kinda remote...
