We spent several hours visiting Dan O'Hara's homestead. There was his old homestead to explore and it included a demonstration of harvesting peat. There is a wonderful coffee shop and a gift shop as well. Definitely worth a stop on your trip to the area.

Arrived on a very wet day so didn't do the outdoor activities but did watch the video which was grand. Set the scene, informative if a little dated. Very friendly staff and good tea! Lots of coach parties so go early.

We were just in Ireland with National Geographic Private expeditions, Ireland. Dan O'Hara's homestead was on our itinerary. We had a private guid take us up a mountain in a tracker with an enclosed trolley. The guide was a nice person but was not informative....More
