Well worth a visit to just stroll around the main street and see the beautiful pastel coloured thatched cottages and old city hall. The church, gardens, and even the old pubs, are worth a picture while you stretch your legs.

Have visited here in the past and was sorry to see that two of the thatched roof cottages have burned down since our last visit. We love strolling down the street to take pictures of these beautiful quaint cottages and admire the gorgeous roses and various flowers all abloom in front of the cottages. Certainly always worth a visit!

Visited Adare with friends. Glorious sunny day made the thatched cottages look fabulous. The homes are so beautifully kept, along with the church and other buildings in the small town. Adare Manor is well worth a visit too

Joan Toomey's Thatched Irish Cottage was the first place we stayed upon arrival in Ireland, Joan provided a warm welcome with her fresh baked scones with lovely Irish butter and jam with Barry's tea. Later she came by to light the cozy fireplace with a traditional peat (turf) fire to warm the cottage creating that marvelous fragrance only to be...

Adare was only an afternoon stop for our tour. I would have loved to had more time as the village is quaint with lots of nice shops and restaurants. Plus a castle or two. These cottages are just like you picture:)

These cottages are like stepping back in time. If only walls could talk. The shops were enjoyable. Too bad some of them caught fire the spring of 2015. I'm glad I managed to get some great photos of several cottages.

I have stayed at the thatched cottage twice now, and both stays were wonderful. The cottage is beautiful and quaint. The rooms are decorated well and are very comfortable. The garden is idyllic and a perfect spot to read a book or have a cup of tea. The locations is perfect too. The cottage is just a few minutes outside...

Just returned from Ireland where four of us shared the thatched cottage for a week. I can't say enough how comfortable the accommodations were. We had a very minor shower (hot water) issue in one of the bathrooms that was resolved quickly. It was not an problem for us at all. The location is perfect, close to Adare village but...

I have had mainly good to great experiences in our travels, guided often by the collective advice of the Trip Advisor community, so it is rare that I contribute a below average review but this is one of those--all the more unusual as the lodging had universal 5 ratings at the time I made my reservation. The good: We stayed...
