I have just returned from a family weekend in this hotel. The location is great. Everything around you and lovely views of the Shannon, boats and all. The rooms was nice, had everything you needed. The shower was amazing. Triton you legend. The breakfast was not a buffet. We had to order off a menu. It seems to be a...

This review relates to the restaurant. When in Carrick on Shannon we always go to Cryans for lunch. However, on this occasion we also had dinner. Portion sizes are large in Cryans and my wife had a sirloin steak, beautifully cooked just as requested with all the trimmings. I had the farmhouse grill which was huge and I wasn't able...

Lovely hotel, wonderful friendly staff especially the woman at reception on check in, also the night porter who very kindly offered a jug of ice water for the room upon our return from a function in a neighbouring hotel. Fabulous freshly cooked breakfast served with a smile. Highly recommended A+++++ Will stay here again.

When we visit Carrick, it is a must do to visit Cryan's restaurant. We had a great meal. The food is delicious. The steak is to die for and the potatoes and vegetables that come with it are yummy too. Mary looked after us and couldn't do enough for us. You won't go wrong eating here. We will be back...

The room is lovely, very clean and tidy. I would most definitely visit again. The restaurant downstairs has the most amazing food. The bar is separate which is great also. I would strongly recommend this hotel. Great view of the Shannon river also.

Me and my family didn't stay in the hotel, we just called in for something to eat in the restaurant. We had a lovely meal, and the staff were very friendly. I'd definitely recommend it for anyone visiting Carrick-on-Shannon. Review from August 2013.

Room was a bit dated and bathroom could have been cleaner. We ate in the hotel as Carrick on Shannon didn't appear to have many nice places to eat. Good was ok, could have been better. Breakfast on the other hand was lovely with lots of choice. Probably wouldn't stay here again but it's unlikely we would visit Carrick on...
