Stayed in a room at front of building. Not too much noise that night but very noisy in morn. You can here everyone walking around, doors etc. Id get over that but it was the smell of deep fat fryers first thing that I wont forget. It was nauseating. Had to leave the room at about 9 as the smell... More

A real nice town and you'll be in heart of it. Fun fun fun but quiet too. Great window shopping if you arrive later in the evening. There is no elevator it's just a small place but the gentleman helped me carry the luggage up. "The husband" LOl ...he went to get the car from a parking lot. It took... More

Stayed here based on reviews. I have read other reviews on here before writing my review and was surprised by the comments. Our room was nice and we didnt get any street noise because we were in a room toward the back of the building. We did get noise from either people above us or in the building that butted... More

Based on the pictures we achieved something much nicer but this is more like a private room hostel. Floors are sticky and it's right by loud bars. Room was clean and had the basics but be prepared for the bare minimum and uncomfortable beds that you can feel the springs. If you just want the basics then this is your... More

Ok.. So the rooms are small. But they are clean, comfortable and well maintained. Tierneys Guest house is slap bang in the middle of Kinsale, surrounded by fine eating establishments, wine bars & pubs. (No need for taxi's here...). Tierneys do not provide breakfast, but are located besides the best breakfast café in Ireland (The Lemon Leaf if I recall... More

The expression "you get what you pay for" really applies here. It is not expensive but it's not perfect. Positives: friendly and helpful staff and a comfy bed. Very central location in Kinsale and short distance walkable to everywhere in the town. Negatives: cold shower at all times and very noisy from the street outside at all times.

Tierney's Guest House was am ideal location for us literally in the midst of everything we wanted to see (historical attractions, pubs, restaurants, shops were all just steps away...) We got a top floor room with ensuite bathroom, a very comfortable bed, opening window/skylight, coffee/tea making facilities, high speed wifi, etc. and everything was clean & tidy. The staff were... The staff were very helpful. A nice little guest house with an excellent central location. The only thing that spoilt our stay here was the noise from the street in front with the early morning deliveries, even with the window shut. I would request a room at the back next time.

This location is great as it's right in downtown Kinsale. Very small place - Dominick leaves his phone no. to call when you arrive and he does arrive very quickly. We requested two rooms with double bed in each but when we arrived, we had one room with two twin beds and the other a full bed. It was OK... More

We ended up here on a last-minute booking because it was the only availability in town. I see why. The twin beds were teeny-tiny and dreadfully uncomfortable; the room was so small there was nowhere to set our bags; the bathroom smelled like cat pee; and they gave us used soap (a recurring theme, if you've read my other reviews)....
