We stayed 2 nights at Friars Lodge. Pulled in to town and called a few places, and we liked the sound of Mary's voice when we spoke with her and we were right! She gave us a key to look at the room... a large room with sitting area and 2 beds...we were sold! Friars is a street away from...

Myself and my other half stayed here for the Jazz festival in 2015 and loved the place so much we decided to come back again this year and bring our two friends. It's a lovely place to stay, the rooms are huge and clean and have all of the facilities you could possibly need including an iron and ironing board...

We stayed at the Friar's Lodge two nights. We had a large room with two queen beds (only needed and used one). It is modern, has an elevator, good bathroom and comfortable sitting chairs. The breakfast room is inviting and the waitresses do a good job getting the meals out. They have brandy in the lobby in the evening. That's...

As noted in other reviews, Friar's Lodge is a bit dated in their decor, but the charm and friendliness of the staff, clean rooms with plenty of space to spread out AND free off street parking is well worth overlooking the decor. Plus, we were not there to spend time in our room but out and about in Kinsale. Location...

We are a couple in our 60s and well traveled. This is my 56th visit to Europe for holidays. Our one night stay at Friar's Lodge was completely successful and we would stay again. I'm reluctant to give anyone 5 stars as it leaves no room above that. 1. Easy to find (using GPS Maps.me on iPhone. Free program. No...

Excellent B&B in the heart of charming Kinsale. Room was spacious, well appointed and very comfortable. Good breakfast and service in a very nice setting. Nearby parking was a plus. Kinsale itself is worth a multi-day stay.

Yes we would definitely recommend to stay here when in Kinsale. Why? It has good location, has wifi, little things like chocolates on bed; ironing board and iron in the room also. It may be plain looking but it has all the necessary stuff you need for a comfortable stay. Cons: Should be here in mid week – less crowded...

3rd or 4th time staying here. Always a great welcome especially for the dog. Hard enough to find places that welcome the hound any more which is why we keep going back. As a "b&b" it out does a lot of hotels we stay at. Breakfast and service always great! Keep it up Maureen and the team!

reasonably priced, quiet, includes off street parking and a great breakfast- what's not to love! Enjoyed our stay here- was given a gigantic room- and loved the location just a few blocks from the main strip. Furnishings were a little tired, but enjoyed our stay there.

Arrived as walk-ins and were warmly welcomed and invited to check out the room before deciding whether to stay. It was gigantic -- three beds and a huge bathroom. Sipped complimentary sherry as we registered. Loved the view from our window. Excellent breakfast with everything you could want on offer.
