My husband and I stayed 3 nights in early September 2016. The farmhouse had charming casual Irish style. The owner, Noreen welcomed us and treated us as long lost family. The farmhouse and bedroom were very comfortable. I slept like a baby every night. Noreen's gardens are beautiful as well. The breakfast was as filling or as light as you...

My wife and I stayed in Duvane house recently. This was our second visit, and it was a treat to return again. Our stay was perfect, nothing was too much trouble for Noreen and her daughter Amanda, rooms were so comfortable, and I could not praise the scrumptious breakfast high enough..you certainly wont go hungry thats for sure! ...Looking forward...

Noreen's daughter welcomed us and made us tea on arrival. We did arrive a little earlier than planned because of weather, but were made most welcome. A very clean place with a comfortable lounge and a choice of bedroom. We choose the one with the brass bed and the interesting chair. Loved the fresh red rose along side my bed....

Staying at Duvane House is like calling into your grandmother's, and I mean that in a good way. The house is comfortable, if a little dated, but Noreen is a welcoming host and the breakfast was one of the best we had on our travels. We seem to have missed out on the offers of tea that feature in the...

My mother and I were thrilled to find this home atop a hill, overlooking a stunning view and beautiful gardens. The pastoral setting and lovely nearby town of Clonakilty added to the charm. The home itself was expertly decorated with period antiques. Noreen and Rensie's in-depth knowledge of the area enhanced our touring and saved us time. We learned not...

This is a must stay in Clonakilty! Noreen has done a superb job of keeping this beautiful property in its"original" state. Her gardens are well kept and the rooms really a pleasure to enjoy not to mention all the priceless antiques. HarryH

A really warm welcome for my father and I - met with cake and tea! Rooms were large, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was amazing with plenty of choice(and plenty of it). Noreen was very helpful and recommended plenty to do in the locality and places to eat. This is a real gem of a b & b and I know...

Duane House is an old, elegant farmhouse in South West Cork which I found the nicest spot in Ireland. The welcome is warm, the breakfast are excellent and the place is smart and clean. The owners were helpful and charming. Clonakilty itself is a small, charming town but with 24 bars, restaurants, takeaways, cafes just in the High street alone....

I would have been happy enough just with the historic farmhouse, even happier with the delicious breakfast(Noreen even got me to eat black pudding). But the hospitality from Noreen and Renzy made us feel as if we were there on a family visit. Clonakilty is a lovely little village, and Duvane house a perfect stop-off on your way around the...

“If you have the twin room make sure your companion is less than 5'5'' tall - as the bed is short. Mine was fine.”

“We chose a lovely, spacious room with a charming half-canopy bed and other delightful furnishings. It happens to have a breathtaking view of the sunrise over the distant hills, but also offers room-darkening drapes to ensure a good sleep.”
