This was the highlight B&B experience of our two week trip to the Irish West with my sister and brother-in-law. Originally we planned to stay only one night in the Clonakilty area, but the setting was so incredible that we asked Norma Walsh, our hostess, if we could stay a second night. She is so accommodating that I wish we...

I cannot say enough good things about this place. It was one of my favorite experiences of my entire trip to Ireland. We arrived after dark, so hostess Norma suggested we stop at the little pub in Ballinascarthy, the Henry Ford, where the bartender would phone her so she could lead us so as to not miss the turn. (Yes,...

Ard Na Greine is a working farmhouse in the gorgeous Irish countryside near Clonikilty. Norma is the epitome of the caring "grandmother". We had been in contact by email before we arrived and she suggested the best scenic drive to her B&B. It was a chilly rainy day and when we arrived she immediately sat us down in her living...

This was one of the nicest B&Bs we have stayed in while in Ireland. A hot fire, tea and freshly made scones were ready for us when we arrived. Norma was amazing with everything from the food she served us, to giving us recommendations of places to see or eat at in the area, to our well-being especially for our...

Absolutely fantastic stay at this B&B. We arrived late and were given tea and scones, had porridge in the morning before doing the Clon Marathon and then had the cooked breakfast after the run at lunch time. The fire was lit for us and more tea was served while we watched TV and chatted with the other guests, it was...

My wife and I really enjoyed our 1-night stay here. During our Ireland trip (Aug 2013), we stayed in a different property every night. All of them were HEAVILY researched and Ard Na Greine, like the others, did not disappoint. We arranged to pay extra for Norma to prepare dinner for us the night of our arrival. It was money...

I loved staying here, Norma was so caring and such a hoot, came and got us in town when we weren't sure how to find our way, always helped us plan our days and make sure we knew where to go and had maps! Felt like Mom was downstairs taking care of the world and us for a while. The...

Firstly, this is about 10 minutes drive outside town so if you don't mind that, all is good! This is a really friendly family-run home, anything you need to know or do is no problem for Norma. We had a great chat about farming and my job and it is truly lovely to find someone who actually enjoys the work...
