Went in here last week at about 2.30. Sign outside said all day carvery, so I assumed at 2.30 it would still be fresh. Wrong. There was a handful of people in yet the carvery area looked untouched, so it probably had been sitting there since 12. We both had beef and guinness pie, which was basically slopped onto the...

Stayed at this hotel with my son, Hotel was quite dated.... But it was clean and tidy. Food in the restaurant was good, so was the breakfast, as well as the service. Local train station not far away and bus stop straight across the road. Live entertainment was also very good. Would stay again.

I wondered if the two previous negative reviewees were at the same hotel as us. We spent two comfortable nights there 8/9th October. It is a very popular venue for locals and tourist as its on a very picturesque coast and offers very good food. The ground floor and dining area on the first floor had a nautical theme and...

Filth, grime, pubic hair, scum you name it it had it! Dangerous fan, water dripping from electric fan in bathroom, cobwebs, just unreal. Rude staff, faulty towers was a palace compared to this place. Absolutely dire!

We stayed here for one night as a base for moving on to America. The rooms were huge, the beds huge too. Yes they are dated but I wouldn't say dirty although our room did have the aroma of aftershave?! The shower was quite weak at but gradually gained more power. We ate here and the food was lovely. Huge...

Booked in at the Island View during a brief stay in the area. The hotel does indeed overlook a small island off the estuary. However, trees across the road are getting large and ungainly and need cutting back. Malahide is a gem of a place: great food in several places, great golf nearby, fishing, cycling, boating, easy access to Dublin....

We booked just 36 hours before arriving. Double bed was two large singles joined but was very comfortable and more than met our overnight needs for somewhere to stay that was comfortable and a good night's sleep. Its close to the Malahide sea front and village. Basic but nice. We had to leave early next morning so did not have...

We arrived on the Friday night a lovely chap in the bar came and helped us check in. The hotel is dated but our room at the side of the building was a double with a very large bed very clean, new pillows new towels, ensuite with a normal sized shower a bit fiddly with the temperature control but the...
