We have stayed in The Holyrood on numerous occasions with family and friends and have always found it to great for the children and adults. Although it is a little dated and could probably be doing with a revamp we have always enjoyed our stays. The staff are very accommodating and the food has always been brilliant.

Great mid week offer. Lovely room. Very comfortable beds. Food good and breakfast was excellent. Used pool, steam room, jacuzzi. After reading reviews I was dubious but we had such a restful, relaxing break. Staff all welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. Hotel seems to be getting refurbished which in fairness it could do with, but I would book...

I arranged a two night stay for my mother here in the Hollyrood last week and she loved it. She told me about how wonderful the dinner was in the hotel's restaurant, how much she enjoyed her spa treatment and especially how friendly the staff were. I'm going to book another few nights for her in a month or two.

Terrible weekend had with family dinner included in stay absolutely terrible. Never again will we stay here wire scrub bit found in my food and my son's pasta which was wild mushroom tagliatelle topped with nothing more than a can of mushroom soup! No apologies made on behalf of hotel no leadership in this spot which is a disappointment

Just back from a 2 night stay at the holyrood. And will definitely not be returning. On arrival we were sent to our room which was tiny and had one light working. We asked reception to sort it out and fair enough they sent housekeeping up (the girl that came was really lovely) the problem couldn't be fixed so we...
