This is probably the greatest place to stay in Kenmare. It is in a secluded area above the town but only about 5 minutes walk. It is on a hill but if you want to avoid the exercise you can park in a lot and walk over a short bridge into town. Margaret was a helpful, unobtrusive hostess. She has...

Handy for downtown Kenmare, which is a lively place. Clean and fairly comfortable but no 'extras' such as TV or radio, Tea or coffee in room.

We were arriving in Kenmare for 2 nights, after an average stay in hotel Pembroke (Kilkenny), and a top-of-the-class B&B Rockfield in Avoca. That is why the title, when we were a wee bit disappointed to find less fashionable rooms here. But the hostess Margaret & her husband Fergus, made it a super stay for us at the end of...

I stayed here in September 2007, stumbling upon it after not having luck right in town finding a place for a single. I loved it! It was clean, well kept, and I loved all the wood. Quiet location, yet I could walk right into town. Margaret was wonderful. Breakfast was fabulous. Highly recommend it and as I am going back...

Do yourself a favor when you stay in Kenmare. Stay at the Riverville House......you will not be disappointed. It is a little gem tucked away with only a 3 minute walk from town.....but hidden away enough that you will feel you are tucked away at a cozy little retreat. It is cozy, roomy and pretty. My husband and I stayed...

Great B&B located just a 5 minute walk from the Kenmare pubs. Margaret (are all of the B&B hosts in Ireland named Margaret? I'm 3 for 3 so far) is a very welcoming host who makes a fantastic breakfast and keeps excellent en suite rooms. If I had to suggest anything, it wouldn't be that there is "too much pine"...

We stayed in Riverville House in Kenmare earlier this week and it was a charming stay - the B&B was wonderful, enjoys a great location just a short stroll from Kenmare town centre. Margaret our host was wonderful and cooked a super breakfast on both mornings. Most of all, Riverville House was excellent value for money. We'll certainly be back!...

Beautiful and clean home set within colorful flower garden conveniently located within easy walking distance of downtown Kenmare. Both Margret and Fergus, being classically trained chefs, set a very tasty and artistic breakfast table. They provide access to a computer with high speed internet and even helped me solve a flat tire problem. We highly recommend their B&B. Peter

I stayed with Margaret in 2007 as well and was more than happy to stay there again this year when the Traditional Music Festval for Munster was held there. (The Fleadh). As previously, the room was well adequate for a single traveller, and I didn't mind the view of the car park! Kenmare is a lovely place to stay and...

Two years ago I stayed with Margaret at Riverville House. I enjoyed the stay so much that my friend and I booked another night this fall, while driving the Beara Peninsula. Margaret is absolutely a gem, and her home is lovely and spotless. The surroundings make you feel like you have just come home. Give yourself a treat, and stay...

“Ask for the room at the end of the hall upstairs if you are looking for a comfy king bed and big bathroom. It was very quiet and had a view of the garden. There are downstairs rooms of various sizes too and everyone (5) in our party was happy with their rooms.”
