Really great place, very friendly. We stayed in the primrose room with our disabled son. Room was better than a lot of hotels I have stayed in. Our son is on a special diet and the staff were happy to accommodate this. Will definitely be back!

My partner and I hiked through the beautiful west coast of Ireland in July 2013. The first day we were there was typical Irish weather - cool and wet -- perfect for hiking. All the subsequent days we were treated to a humid heat wave where the temperatures were in the 30s C (90s F) -- thank you global climate... More

We had a wonderful two night stay at The Lodge. It was decorated beautifully, the rooms and the sitting room. The breakfast was great and I highly recommend the omelet. It is very close to town and there are some great shops in Kenmare. It is an ideal base for visiting the Ring of Kerry and the Muckross House. This... More

We stayed here two nights of the June Weekend. Room was excellent as was food. Short walk to town centre. Ample parking. Staff made us very welcome from beginning to end. Rates are very good for the standard.

We stayed here recently and were really impressed with the place! Room was very comfortable and food was excellent. Location is always important to me and we had no worries staying here. Its very easy just to mooch about and walk into town or as we did go and visit the ring of Kerry. The hosts made us feel very... More

The Lodge is fairly new construction, so you have every modern convenience, but they successfully managed to provide a classic feel due to furnishings and decor. Breakfast was delicious, staff accomodating and the walk to town was perfect.

We spent the night here in a family room (queen and two single beds) with 2 adults and 2 teens. It is located just outside Kenmare and was very convenient place to hang before or in our case after doing ring of kerry. It is family run by lovely people who pay attention to every detail and show they care... More

We had never visited Kenmare and wanted a short weekend break that wasn't too far from where we live. Kenmare is about one and half hours away from our home. I looked for a B&B as we wanted to explore Kenmare and surrounds and therefore didn't want to pay exorbitant rates for simply sleeping! The Lodge is PERFECT! Rosemary is... More

4 of us (2 couples) went to Kenmare for New Years Eve 2012 . We booked 2 double rooms in The Lodge. We arrived mid afternoon and were greeted by Rosemary and shown to our room. The house has a mix of styles. A lot thought, effort and investment has gone into it. Our room was large with a very... More

I don't know who's responsibility it is (Hotels.com or the Lodge), but we shouldn't have been able to make a reservation for a hotel that is closed. We found an even better option in town, but it was very inconvenient when arriving to town in the early evening and realizing you don't have a place to stay. Thankfully it was... More
