Fabulous place especially because of the owners. The couple made our stay and we are booking the place out for our wedding guests (this house does not cater for weddings-its is a guest house)Truly sad to leave Tom and Maura. Food is fabulous, showers hot and strong with lovely traditional rooms. Very clean and faultless. Maura knew we were arriving rather...

Friends recommended the Shelburne Lodge for our recent trip to Kerry. I always say word of mouth is the best recommendation and this was no exception so I am passing it on! We only stayed for one night but will certainly return in the future. A wonderful welcome, tea and shortbread and a great chat with Tom started us off....

My wife and I stayed here for three nights towards the end of our two week sojurn through western Ireland last June and it was one of the best experiences we had in Ireland. Moira and Tom treated us like family. We arrived early on a rainy blustery day following a somewhat harrowing drive through the Killarney National Forest and...

is what you will receive when staying at Shelburne Lodge. My husband and I had the pleasure of being guests for four glorious nights and I still think about our experience every day. The lodge absolutely oozes with history, charm and grace. The owners, Tom and Maura, run a top notch establishment and nothing is too great for them to...

My twin sister and I spent two wonderful nights at the Shelburne Lodge last month while vacationing in Ireland. Moira and Tom and their daughter were gracious hosts who welcomed us immediately upon arriving with a place to sit by the fire and something warm to drink and delicious to eat. They provided us with recommendations on what to see,...

The Shelburne Lodge and Moira and Tom made our two day stay in Kenmare delightful. Comfortable sitting room with a cozy fire was perfect for a rainy morning, excellent full Irish breakfast with lots of gourmet choices served in a beautiful dining room, lovely furnishings and art all contribute to a real Irish manor house experience. Walking distance to Kenmare...

Just an all round good experience. Irish hospitality at it's best. Will visit again (hopefully). Nothing was too much trouble. If we could get all tourists to sample this sort of stay then the tourist industry would be in a better place. Even enjoyed Tom's stories of Munster rugby!

Wonderful hospitality. Booked out all the rooms as we were in kenmare for a family wedding. Rooms were lovely and the breakfasts were fantastic. Everyone in our party kept commenting on what a super find this guest house was. Would not hesitate to recommend this gorgeous place. Thanks to all for a wonderful stay!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Shelburne Lodge while in Kenmare. This beautiful home has an interesting history and is well appointed and comfortable. Breakfasts were plentiful and delicious-restaurant quality! Thank you to our hosts for taking the time to talk to us about the Kenmare area and assist us in making plans. Great golf course just across the...
