The owner (Pat) is the quintessential Irishman. The location is very central to town (5 minutes' walk). The rooms are small and the bathrooms are tiny but all very clean. Breakfast was lovely and very generous.

Absolutely loved this wonderful bed and breakfast! The room was clean, the bed was super comfortable, and the shower was hot. I loved the little extras provided (tea-making facilities, hairdryer, and chocolate bars). The breakfasts were also really good! Yum! The Wifi was reliable and the B&B is conveniently only a pleasant short walk into the town centre. Our host,...

A basic B&B with a great host and a good location. Beautiful and comfortable guest lounge, Pat was very friendly host. Short walk into town. Great and abundant breakfast. A good base of operations for the whole Kerry area.

To say Pat offers a friendly Irish welcome is a tremendous understatement. He genuinely LIKES people, his smile fills his whole face and makes his eyes crinkle, and meeting him is like meeting a long-lost family member you never knew you had. He is kind, helpful, and eager to please. Just wonderful. We nabbed his last available room, and he...

We loved staying at Avelow and having Pat as our host. Kenare was a wonderful town but parking was difficult in town and we were happy to be just a wee bit out (8 minute walk) and staying with Pat. Pat's breakfast was superb. My hubby ordered the pancakes and I nibbled on his delicious fruit--blueberries, raspberries, yum! My poached...

After a mix up with booking at another B&B in Kenmare our previous B&B host arranged for us to stay at Avelow House and I think we were better for it. Pat is an excellent host. His rooms have a great layout and it was the best bathroom/shower we used in all of Ireland! The breakfast in the morning was...

Six of us, three couples, stayed at Avelow House for three nights during our eight night Ireland tour. We couldn't fault anything about it and Pat is definitely one of the nicest men you could meet. He greeted us each morning by name, and his breakfasts were wonderful especially his pancakes. He was always on hand to give advise on...

We stayed here for one night and we were pleasantly surprised! The room was very clean. Tea and coffee in the room, nice little bathroom. Our host, Pat, was the best! Very welcoming and friendly. Highly recommended to go here while visiting the ring of Kerry.

Pat is awesome! We arrived tired after a long day’s drive and he received us with the biggest smile ever! He gave us tips on where to eat in town since we were starving and set us up with a very large room. We unfortunately only stayed one night, but his hospitality made us want to stay longer.
