This is a very quaint inn with lovely rooms and a strong management presence that is eager to please. It is off the beaten path adding to the relaxed atmosphere. We were in room 7 which faced the lake and had an outdoor patio. The room was very large The reason this is not a five star location is due...

The first stop on our BackRoad's Hiking Tour was a surprise and delight. Sitting majestically at the side of a lake, with a beautiful view of the mountains - the Carrig Country House was warm and its proprietors gracious and friendly. Five delightful sitting rooms, each with a unique character are available in the evening for conversation, quiet reading or...

Have not in the past been a person that frequents B&Bs but this place was great. Me and my girlfriend spent two nights in the sweet (Room #1). It has the best view of the lake....try to get this room if you can! Frank and Mary, the attentive and proud owners of this great place, did everything they could to...

From start to finish the welcome, to the duo of prawns , and local crab meat, followed by 2 melt in your mouth fillets steaks with ox Cheek and tail. and to follow a vanillia creme brulee and an Irish cheese board with home made biscuits , all washed down with a fruity pino, well done Frank and all your...

Stunning view of lake with a large bed and sofa. Lovely grounds. This was a great location to see both Dingle Peninsula, Ring of Kerry, and Killarney national park. Very comfortable and inviting. The restaurant's food was delicious with the only disappointment being that the restaurant is open for dinner on only selected evenings.

This place is not for everyone but if you want a bit of luxury away from it all - leaving mobile phone, internet and television behind well this is just the place. Morning papers are available at breakfast time if you need an update on the outside world. Frank Slattery and his crew in Carrig House are excellent in their...

Set in a stunning location that is quiet and so relaxing. The host was 'hands on' and along with all his staff were very welcoming and attentive. Our room was comfortable and had all the was expected. Evening meals and breakfast were of a very high standard. This was our first visit and we would most certainly consider staying again...

We stayed here seven years ago and really loved this hotel. Amazingly this visit was even better and great to meet Frank ,Mary family and staff again and this is an idyllic hotel with lovely garden views and position and the food and wines were superb. Cannot praise this hotel too highly and look forward to staying here again.

We stopped here on our journey around the ring of Kerry. Carrig house was by far the best part of the trip because the moment you even park the house and gardens are captivating. We were then greeted with such a warm welcome. A pianist was playing and the atmosphere was incredible. The house itself is worth a visit alone...
