Not far from home, but definitely far from the madding crowd. A stones throw away from Gaganachukki cascade. Delightful cottages amidst a verdant 5-acre area. Privacy when one needs it, and a hospitable non intrusive staff at our disposal when required. Good food, great ambience made for a great place for celebrating a personal milestone.
From R.R.Sankarasubramanian My son and daughter-in-law arranged to spend 2 nights and 3 days at this Georgiana homestay. We on total of 8 persons had a good stay there recently To start with we had a welcome barking by their 11 dogs, a mixture of many breeds;but very friendly We, on total of 8, stayed in 4 cottage rooms. Our rooms, the common areas, and the garden were very well planned. also very well maintained. The owners welcome personally and also present when we left. Very good gesture. Food: Breakfast, lunch and dinner - delicious, varied, and plentiful. Take orders to our liking and maintain supply. The staff : very courteous, attentive, pleasant and friendly. Area: can see lots of birds and hear their chirping. Their pets also included cocks hens, ducks etc. Swimming pool: well maintained, clean. They have a very good library reminding the books we have at home from Reader's digest Games like table tennis etc. are also available. Have slots for morning trek, fishing and a bon-fire before dinner every night. These make staying at Georgia Sunshine a memorable stay and I recommend it whole heartedly.…
This is our third trip to Georgia Sunshine village and we loved our time there. It is my daughters fav place for a weekend getaway and largely influenced by the wonderful dogs there. She almost adopted one of them for the 24 hours we were there. We went on a weekday, so had the entire place to ourselves while being provided all the offerings despite us being a group of just 3. We love the food, great staff and enjoy the peace and calm of the place. The whole property is well maintained and only seems to get greener each time we go. Looking forward to our next holiday with my parents to GSV.
I and my wife drove up there on a Saturday afternoon and returned Sunday evening. The place had a welcoming feel to it. The cottage we stayed in was neat and clean. We enjoyed the food as well as the guided walk in the morning to a nearby dam. The couple that runs the pet friendly place know what they are doing. It is well managed. In the evening we could meet the other guests around a bon fire. It didn't have a hotel like feel at all which is what we had expected from the homestay. We will surely visit GSV again in future. This place is amazing. Perfect weekend getaway if you want to spend away from the city hustle. Great food and service by the hosts. Lots of pets - ducks, turkeys, dogs, chicken, goats to name a few.. the rooms were decent. It's a kid friendly place and we loved every bit of time there. Definitely recommend this place especially during monsoons.. lots of greenery around.. you'll easily lose your time chilling out here.. Thanks Georgia and Leonard for hosting us.
Go with family, go with friends, this place is just what you need for a weekend away from the noise of the city. The homestay is about a hundred and twenty kilometres out of Bangalore. Access roads are fairly good, in most parts atleast. But be warned. Internet connectivity will fade as you get closer to the area. So be sure to keep the route map backed up/saved offline. You'll meet lovely people working at the homestay on arrival. But even before them, you'll meet all the dogs that stay there. If you love them canines, you're in for the warmest of welcomes, but take my word, they won't let you stop petting them! Your hosts, Georgia and Leonard are the warmest I've met in the business and you can rest assured that your stay will be as amazing as your reception. You'll be briefed on meal timings and the activities you can engage in while staying here - some include a nature walk in the morning, fishing in the evenings and a bon fire at night (all these weather willing, of course). Activities at the homestay would include table tennis and carrom along with some board games and a nice collection of books, should you want to read while you're there. There is also a pool on the premises that's superb for a late afternoon dip. The rooms come in different configurations with extra mattresses available for a charge, at request. Accomodation at Georgia Sunshine needs no further mention, you'll find it fitting for all needs - family outings or a gathering of friends. Soap and shampoo are provided in the rooms. Bring your own toothbrushes and paste though. You'll find fresh towels in the bathrooms too and separate pool towels will also be given to you. The food! I haven't, to date, had any repeat dishes while at the homestay and that's saying a lot because I've visited the place thrice already! The menu caters to vegetarian and non-vegetarian guests with indian and continental being on offer. One meal here and you wouldn't feel like you ever left the comfort of home and it's kitchen! You can travel to nearby waterfalls from the resort, if you feel like leaving the comforts of the homestay, that is. Those at Georgia will be able to give you more details of these. For the bird watcher/photographer, you'll find babblers, woodpeckers, hoopoe and koels around. You will certainly see more, i may not have been looking! If you've gotten this far reading, a little closing line - you'll absolutely love the place! Don't hesitate to visit, more than once that too!…
Georgia sunshine village is a very serene place. Just 3 hrs drive from Bangalore. Food is great. Very friendly people and provide great service. It was a memorable stay for us. Very neatly maintained and lots of trees in the resort.
We stayed in Georgia Sunshine for two days. It was time well spent in the middle of nature, with few activities, like fishing and nature walk. Good during the stay was amazing … had all mix and varieties of food from North Indian to South Indian and it was great.
My husband and I stayed over for two days with our 2 year old son. We had a great time. There was a lot of space for our son to run around. He had great fun playing on the swing and also using their swimming pool. There are lots of dogs on the property. All of them are very well behaved but my favourite was Elsa. She is an absolute sweetheart. The food is awesome. All in all we have no complaints. Do give it a try
We visited Georgia Sunshine Village several times in the past 15 years. The place is extremely comfortable, clean and very well maintained. The deluxe rooms are particularly recommended. The hosts are extremely warm and friendly. The food is excellent. We are into bird watching, and have spotted several beautiful birds within the compound, though more can be spotted during the walks. It is a lovely place to relax and unwind.
