This charming and quaint pub surely has the X Factor for us. We stopped off here today, purely by chance, for lunch. I was attracted to it, initially driving past it, thought it looked very pretty. Let me say, we were not disappointed. The service was very friendly, excellent tasty home cooked food, at VERY reasonable prices, it was fabulous... More

Lovely old pub with very friendly people around. Ray and Pam are welcoming and the beer and food are good. Best kept pint of IPA in the area. Pretty little village surrounded by fields. Not too far from Colchester, Bury St. Edmunds and Ipswich. A good base to travel from.

I cannot sing the praises of the Swan at Little Waldingfield high enough. The home cooked food is delicious and you are made to feel so welcome. I haven't stayed here as we don't live too far away but the rooms they have available look very comfortable.

This is a lovely little unpretentious pub but probably not for everyone. If you like your landlords a little dry and sarcastic then Ray will deliver. Regulars were all welcoming which is always a good sign. Food was nice, nothing pretentious about the menu. ( not that there was one as Ray prefers to deliver the choices himself.) Very good... Friendly service, good traditional pub food and a comfy room, you will be well looked after here. The bed and breakfast rooms are fine and the breakfast was lovely. Outside there is a stunning floral display with plenty of space to park. Very attractive, unpretentious old place.

This place felt like a throwback to the 1950s, and so did the food. A dreary bar and the kind of meal you'd expect to find in a third rate truckers' cafe 60 years ago. Out of a depressing menu, we chose prawn cocktail, grilled gammon with an egg on top (we declined the offer of canned pineapple) and stodgy... More

Popped in on the off chance - great menu and reasonably priced. Good choice of ale / wine and super service too - well worth a visit! Open fires gave a great atmosphere to the bar and restaurant. Sign up to their website for offers.

We were staying in the village and came to the pub for a meal. It was the night of the first game of the rugby and the bar was full. I had phoned the pub to tell them of my dietary needs and the landlord was great about it. We had a lovely meal, and really enjoyed the evening with... More

We have just had a great meal at a fantastic price on our final night in Suffolk. The atmosphere was very relaxed with lots of jokes with the locals. Definately worth a visit. ☺ Dont believe the reviews on Google.
