Seems to be a habit staying at The Ripon Spa, three or four times a year. This hotel never fails to give superb service from checking in through to the "thank you " when you leave. The rooms continue to be of the highest standard along with the breakfast. It's not a soulless boutique hotel full of robot like staff...

From what I saw of the hotel, it has been neglected for years. Paintwork is chipped, and the wall paper is dated. The place is in need of a thorough refurbishment. In our room (btw, a lovely prospect over three croquet lawns) the window frames had rotted, and the curtains showed marks from the inevitable ingress of rain. Tea, coffee,...

You wont ever have stayed anywhere like this. It' s fab! It's a quirky retro hotel. Our large room overlooked the beautiful hotel garden/ croquet lawn. It was lovely and peaceful to watch the light fade in the evening. You'll have a great nights sleep because it's extremely quiet and the beds are excellent. The windows actually open fully unlike...

Stayed here for a night during the Ripon Parade. The location of the hotel is very good however, the hotel is very dated and in need of refurbishing. The room at first glance was old, also no info brochure in the room as stated. There were dead wasps behind the curtains of the main window. Also bathroom was in an...

A bad start with a brusque receptionist bordering on rude. She couldn't have been less interested. This hotel must have been stunning when new. It is now tatty and smells musty. The bedroom was absolutely boiling. The radiators were switched off but the pipes were red hot. When I opened the window in our room I thought for a moment...

What a fantastic place this is we were in room 14 which had amazing views of the garden and croquet lawn. The room was spot on and had both bath and shower. We took opportunity of the Sunday snoozer and what a bargain the meal was amazing and we were allowed to eat in the garden room with our pooch....

Stayed here for my birthday and it definitely exceeded my expectations. Great central location. Cosy, homely room with nice bespoke furniture. Lovely view of the gardens. The bed was comfy and the bedding was lovely. The bath towels were large and fluffy and good quality. We didn't eat here but everything else was first class. Would definitely stay again and...

This was our second visit to this hotel . It is only 5 minutes walk away from the centre of Ripon, so is ideally placed for anyone visiting this lovely city. The hotel has plenty of parking, and some very nice croquet lawns to the rear. On our last visit they were being put to good use with the World...

My husband and I spent three very relaxing days there a couple of weeks ago. The staff were very helpful, the room clean and any requests dealt with immediately and without fuss. The room and en-suite were a very good size and were given a given ground floor room when requested. The large regency style lounge was a super space...
