Stayed here for 3 nights recently with my wife and friends and we all really enjoyed it. Lovely rural location with easy access to Plymouth centre and also to Dartmoor. Pleasant courtyard area with geese wandering around and a nice country feel Our room was good. We had our dog with us so were allocated one of the ground floor... More

We visited for Sunday lunch, booked a table, when arrived we were just told our table number and no-one explained what food was on offer etc, if we had not gone up to bar and asked no-one would have told us. Staff seemed stretched and under trained. Food was OK carvery lunch but had to walk upstairs and round a... More

Absolutely wonderful place both to stay, eat and drink at. Really warm welcome very comfortable room, from a fantastic family run business. Breakfast unbelievable and spoilt for choice, all other meals are equally mouth wateringly good. Lovely quiet location with great views. Had a lot of fun with everyone who works there. The only down side was having to leave... More

Good standard of carvery, would recommend if passing great for quick eats. Only down side is it is a little dated inside but guess it's the food that counts, great for entertaining the children with play area outside.

Stayed one night on the way to Cornwall. Country pub with accommodation. The room was very good with a very nice bathroom. The pub will give you bottle water and milk for drinks. Breakfast was free with our reservation. Will definitely stay again.

We stopped by chance, desperate for hot drinks....(yes, it is a pub, but only tea would do at this point). The approach, just off the main road, was impressive......a winding driveway, accessed across a cattle grid, led to a picture postcard inn, with ducks and geese in the courtyard. Inside, the welcome is very friendly, with good humoured banter from... More
