Excellent place...quiet and simple. Was our 5th time and will be back next year. A working farm 🐄 so waking up to cows mooing is great. With matlock farm park near by and bakewell there's lots to see and do.

Read the reviews left by other campers and either, the facilities have been upgraded or they were expecting too much. The site was basic but it had essential needs. The site is split into two parts, campers and vans in one area and tents in another. We were the only tent in the field and had loads of room. Yes...

We stayed in the Chapel Cottage for a few days and I already want to go back. Felt very homely, with the complimentary cupcakes ect. Beds were comfy, creaky floorboards but this just adds to it's character, only one thing I would of liked is WiFi, but that didn't spoil it.

My partner and I ( plus our pet dog )stayed in the converted barn for a week in November and we were bleesed with really good weather for the time of year. The owner Sandra was very helpfull and it was a nice touch be greeted with cup cakes and fresh milk ..the site is located on a working farm which...

Nothing spectacular, no log burners or open fires, but if you want good, clean accommodation then Manor Cottage fits the bill. Adequately kitted out kitchen, muffins and fresh milk on arrival - yum! Spacious downstairs, no carpets (good as we had dogs) with free view and the unexpected bonus of WIFI. Bedrooms were a double and a twin, both with...

Stayed in manor cottage this weekend with family and my children. The cottage is attached to another one, which we didn't know until we arrived but it was fine. The cottage itself was lovely, nice sized kitchen, bedrooms, bathroom and lounge. Also a bench out the front and the back. The single beds could do with new mattresses but slept...

We chose this site as we wanted to walk the local area. For location and views from the site I would rate 10/10, however the facilities are shocking and the camping fields un cared for. The grass was long and where it had been attacked with some kind of mower large clumps of clippings were left strewn around. The worst...

Lovely homely cottages, great views of Derbyshire countryside and crich trams on the hillside. We booked last minute and was pleasantly surprised, loved that there was milk left for us fresh from the farms own dairy! There's loads to do locally for the family and the kids absolutely loved it!! The owner showed us around his farm and all the...

We are stopping in Chapel cottage over the christmas period as I type this review. I must confess as to not realy liking these reviews as they are open to whinging abuse by todays ever increasing moaning society. Nevertheless I am posting to help others decide. I book cottages all over the uk about 4 times a year with varied...

We stayed for two nights whilst I was working in the area. At £15 a night in October for a camper with hook up and two people I thought that it would have been OK. How wrong I was. The only thing going for it was the convenience factor to where I was working. The single toilet was in an...
