Clean, welcoming and high quality standards throughout. Excellent breakfast. Close to the local pub that serves decent food. Torch provided as there is a short walk through a dark lane to get to town. This can be a bit wet and you don't want your best shoes on. This was the only weakness ...and a minor one at that. Would...

We would highly recommend Castle Green. The hosts were very welcoming, everywhere was spotlessly clean. The room was very well appointed with little extras we appreciated. Delicious breakfast. It is in an excellent location and very easy to find.

Stayed for 2 nights with my elderly mother. This was a lovely B and B in a beautiful village with very welcoming hosts. Nothing was too much trouble, and the breakfast was great. Only 20 minutes away from Chatsworth House

We stayed here for two nights and enjoyed our stay. The room is clean and tidy, with an excellent on suite shower room. The accommodation is on the edge of the picturesque Peak District. The breakfast is excellent. The owner is very friendly.

Well positioned for Matlock, within walking distance of the town, and also for visiting the surrounding areas. We went to Chatsworth House by local bus. Castle Green is a very comfortable B&B. Welcoming host and very helpful. Janet sorted out our booking for Chatsworth which we booked online but had left the paperwork at home.
