Our pub is a truly traditional inn right in the heart of the picturesque Peak District town of Bakewell, aside the square in the town's centre. The Red Lion offers great food, including breakfast and brunch, and a full range of drinks, including a range of cask ales and premium gins. Outside, The Courtyard is just off the square in Bakewell town centre and provides a comfy outdoor space. Dogs are very welcome in and out. We also have five cosy double rooms with en-suite facilities, providing visitors with a fantastic opportunity to stay in a traditional English pub, right in the centre of Bakewell itself.

Just popped in whilst in Bakewell and service is brilliant they have the Covid restriction perfect had a quick drink food looks great so I tried tomato soup which was lush defo going to come back and try a main meal soon highly recommend staff so helpful and friends

We enjoyed a drink in the beer garden on a recent visit to the town. The interior is reasonably smart and comfortable and the staff were pleasant and friendly. I believe there are a few vegan options on the menu.

Visited Bakewell and had lunch and a beer in the red lion, it was busy but they still adhered to covid rules, we sat at a table that was cleared for us in minutes, the waiting staff were great as were the bar staff. Lunch was.... meat pie, chunky chips, peas and gravey..... Beautiful ! Thank you !

Despite Bakewell being very busy, the pub managed to provide efficient and pleasant service and excellent food. We had a Sunday roast and traditional pie. The food was well prepared with lots of fresh vegetables. The staff were very diligent about sanitising tables etc. A most agreeable visit!
