My partner and I had a hankering to cycle the Monsal Trail in Derbyshire (he being a Derbyshire "lad") and I managed to find this little gem of a B&B and so pleased that I did! We were treated like royalty and had such a wonderful, relaxing stay in Ian and Diana's beautiful home. Spent one day walking and cycling...

Shelley, thank you so much for such a positive review. It is particularly welcome because it comes from someone who has managed their own hotel in the past. We enjoyed meeting you and look forward to seeing you again. (Glad you had decent weather too). best regards,

We cannot begin to tell you how wonderful a B&B this is. We spent our 10th Wedding Anniversary weekend in the Peak District, beautiful scenery made equally more exceptional by the warmth of the welcome & attention to detail that Diana & Iain welcome you with....their stunning property sits nestled alongside the Monsal Trail, perfect for reaching all the many...

Dear Karen, Wow! Thank you so much for your wonderful review. As a relatively small B&B (in terms of throughput) we don't get very many reviews, so we are thrilled to receive this one. It was a pleasure to have you here and, if we were allowed to rate guests, you would be a definite 5 star. Diana & Iain

The Old Hay Barn is run by a very friendly couple who made us feel very welcome. We had our breakfast in a private conservatory with beautiful views and the food was amazing quality! The rooms were very comfortable, with our own lounge, bedroom and bathroom. There were plenty of places to walk from the B+B and nearby pubs to...

We booked in at the Old Hay Barn very last minute after deciding to grab a couple of nights away and couldn't have picked a better B&B. A truly beautiful house with stunning surroundings and views, the garden is a real gem, looking over the river Wye, with all the autumnal reds and oranges of the trees on either side...

We wanted a b&b in the centre of the Peak District to spend some time with our grown up daughters and we found this lovely place. Excellent non-intrusive hospitality from Diana & Iain, a beautiful barn conversion in a great location, with walks and pubs on the door step. Highly recommend.

Nice accommodation, lovely breakfast in a great setting. Iain and Diana made us most welcome after our traumas with Europcar at Heathrow Airport. Their suggestion re places to visit were very helpful. The Monsal Head Pub at the top of the hill had good food.

Beautiful barn conversion in a lovely setting, rooms were clean and comfortable (especially the beds). Iain and Diana were friendly helpful hosts and nothing was too much trouble. They made our stay in the Peak District a pleasant experience and if we are in the area again we would certainly stay there again. Would thoroughly recommend this B&B.

Great location and the accommodation is first class. We had both the rooms for our end of July stay and they were more than adequate. They were spacious and very well presented. Breakfast was excellent. Our hosts Iain and Diana were very helpful with local information and places to visit. There are many walks from your doorstep and the surrounding...
