Had 2 great nights at Bagshaw Hall and really can't fault it. We stayed in the 'Garden Room' a cosy very quaint room in the basement, with a window and private back door to the garden. The room also has a second access door into the main house. This room is compact but with a big comfy bed, kitchenette and...

I'm actually quite shocked by some of the reviews on here because I honestly couldn't have had a more pleasant stay. The hotel was lovely. When I booked it online I got the impression I would be getting a bedroom with an ensuite bathroom and a microwave, kettle and sink on a counter in the corner. When I arrived I...

We have just come home from a lovely night away at Bagshaw Hall. Everything was perfect and definitely no complaints at all. For those who have not been here please be aware that it isn't a hotel but apartments, so there isn't a reception but calling to be checked in and waiting for the extremely pleasant and helpful young man...

We had a nice stay here in the Sir Ranulph Fiennes chalet room rather than in the main hall. The refrigerator is close to the bed so hunt for the switch to turn it off over night. Quite roomy with a kitchenette within the bedroom and, although there's no restaurant, the in-room breakfast was good. Make certain your mobile phone...

Nice room. Good location right in the centre of Bakewell. Lovely communal areas. Cooked breakfast was a bit expensive considering we had to make our own tea and coffee and toast (two slices of bread came in a plastic bag)

Apart from the early check-out which I am not a big fan of when vacationing, everything else about our stay was great. Upon arrival, we called to be checked in and only had to wait a minute for the manager to appear and let us in. Service was fast, efficient and very friendly. The room felt a bit tight and...

I consider this hotel was quite standard, very clean and organised. Bakewell is a beautiful town with lovely shops and pubs to visit. It should be specified in somewhere that this room has quite different access. Or outside slippery stairs or awful indoor stairs to climb up. They also should specify that the "hobbit suite" is for people of maximum...

Reyna, you paid for and stayed in one of the two standard suites in Bagshaw Hall, and all of our suites and apartments are, as you say “very clean and organised”! The Garden Room is described correctly as it has direct access out onto the front lawn and terrace of Bagshaw Hall, and this is the access in and out...

Lovely atmospheric building, decorated to a high standard. Quiet location within easy walking distance of the centre of Bakewell. Our stay and the environment was very relaxed and laid back. No problem with not having breakfast, although you can book this, due to the room facilities. Would definitely stay here again when visiting Bakewell rather than going elsewhere.

We booked the luxury suite and it was nice and what you'd expect for the amount of money we paid, ££££ The main reason it gets one star is due to the 'DIY' customer service, and being accused of stealing!! To check in you basically stand at the door and have to ring a number to get in after which...

Sometimes guests think the robes are complimentary, so we have a very gentle, polite standard text which we send to guests when robes are taken. Theft is never mentioned…….. this is all in 211travelbug’s mind. Had I thought for one moment the robes had been stolen then my text would have been different, I would also have mentioned that we...
