My choice of the Castle Inn was based on rapturous online reviews, either I'm missing something or I chose a bad day. In an email we were advised that parking is limited, that wasn't an issue, getting off the forecourt which is set on a...More

The pub itself is of a good size and great design and the garden (with umbrellas) is great to sit out and eat under.

We stayed in room 2 for 2 nights, there was little or no disturbance from traffic noise. The hot water is very hot and the only other other criticism we had was cosmetic in that the carpet had a visible join (this may have been fixed by now). We were not disturbed by any noise from the pub and we enjoyed the meals. If you want to eat in, book early as it can get surprisingly busy in the evening. We booked bed and breakfast, you won't need much lunch after their cooked breakfast. The staff were excellent and very helpful. If you double park on arrival the staff will endeavour to provide a space once you are booked in. Enjoy
