Our last night of the walking holiday and we chose well. Rooms were large, clean, quiet and the beds very comfortable. The en-suite was also very clean and the large shower most welcome after a 13 mile trek. Dinner was excellent - we had four different dishes and all were tasty although if we had a crticism they were rather...

Popped in for a well deserved drink after spending the afternoon walking around the town. Served quickly and dog friendly. Plenty of outdoor seating and right next to the river so you watch the boats while eating or drinking. Did not eat but the food looked well presented, hot and fresh.

Our family of 6 adults and 4 children were looking forward to Sunday lunch at the Barge Inn to celebrate family birthdays. Parking is a problem here but after a bit of juggling the cars were parked. We went straight to our table which was very wobbly as was the bench the four children sat on. We like rustic, this...

We want to see Bath but stay outside . We pulled over into the Barge to have lunch. So good we asked about rooms. Apart from difficult access ,they were very good with a king sized bed and a large walk in shower . W.e booked for two nights. Then had dinner too. The breakfasts were exceptional. We had dinner...

Visited this place for lunch. Made toast for my 2 year old and presented it tastefully. Fish was excellent steak and ale pie good and belly of pork faultless. Half portions of almost everything offered for children. Free tap water offered. Car park outside. Very family friendly , plenty of locals in just for s drink. Brilliant will go again.

Picture this.... It's Sunday afternoon , cooking lunch at home is slowly being forgotten about , your usual haunts are busy , back to plan A perhaps , but then you remember a recent recommendation from a friend.. Into the moment.... A table is booked and soon we have arrived at the Barge Inn, having no expectations , all of...

Unplanned visit on a wet day with parking right outside! Nice selection of dishes on the menu with some good vegetarian options. Homemade quiche excellent and served with large chips and a nice salad. Salt and Pepper pots please not open dishes! Very pleasant stop and would visit again in nicer weather.

We went for a Sunday lunch. On arrival we ordered drinks and was shown to a table. The food was lovely and well presented and a good choice of vegetables accompanied it, the only thing i feel is needed is Salt & Pepper condiments on the table and not the little dishes filled with Salt & Pepper that are on...

We booked for a sunday lunch for four people. On arrival we ordered drinks and was shown to a table. After ordering, the meal did'nt take too long to come out, but was rather staggered, waiting for veg to arrive and then asking for sauces which again took a while to come. We had to take the rack with other...

Visited on a Saturday afternoon purely on the basis of driving past. Decent menu chose cheeseburger and the scampi both arrived in good time and were of a decent portion. Definitely visit again in the warmer weather to make use of the outside facilities and the view next to the river.
