Stayed one night for business and wanted earliest start so worked on 7.30 breakfast which we were asked to circle on check in, arrived down to breakfast at7.20 so had time to check out and was told the chef doesn't arrive until 7.55 so no breakfast and no refund. Stayed here one night whilst visiting Longleat Centre Parcs on business. Excellent value for money. Nice room (if a little warm for my liking), and a great meal in the bar. Unlikely to be back in the area, but I would stay here again if I was.

Booked a last-minute stay here and was pleased with what we got. The room we were allocated was absolutely vast - equipped with Jack and Jill bathroom and lovely large bath. It was all super-clean and very comfortable. Breakfast the next day was superb. This would be a good base for Longleat, and is also not far from Bath and...

Everything about the George Inn was wonderful, from the service to the food served in the restaurant. The staff were accommodating of our early breakfast needs and booked us a table for the whole nigh. The rooms were a good size and design, clean and there was even filter coffee in the rooms. We found it to be great value....

This is an ideal not over priced place to meet friends for lunch. We visited in the winter but I am sure in the summer sitting by the river would be fab. We had sandwiches which were freshly made and had a bit of salad with them.

We enjoyed Sunday lunch at The George Inn. It was very busy but we had no difficulty queuing at carvery. Service was quick. The served portions were a generous size and the choice of vegetables and sauces etc huge. The good was very well cooked and there was a nice ambiance in this rabbit warren of an inn. We were...

Room was very cosy and well kept. Bathroom was very clean. Pub was friendly, particularly liked the table games. Food was typical pub food, nothing special. Overall stay was a nice break, especially after a long day at the zoo.

Travelling from South Wales to Dorset regularly over the past 15 years we have recently stopped at the George for lunch with our grandchildren. It is very children friendly. Food very good and service very good. For a light lunch I would recommend the fish finger sandwich.

Fantastic place to stay. Breakfast was excellent and lots of choice served by the very friendly member of staff called Liz. Twin room was lovely and comfortable. View across river would be hard to beat. Dinner very tasty. Would recommend as a great place to stay.
