Friendly helpful staff, good food well presented. Pleasant dining areas. Bedrooms rather small with no outlook but very clean and the beds are comfortable. TV is at ceiling level due to lack of space. The worst feature is that tea making facilities and kettle with wire take up all the space on the tiny bedside table which is risky unless...

Stopped for lunch and very pleased we did. My husband had Whitebait to start which he said was very tasty. We both had Steak and onion baguettes which came with a side salad. We also ordered a portion of chunky chips, which we the best we have had in a long time. No room for desert, very filling and good...

Visited the Roebuck Inn twice in 3 days because the food was so good ! In this part of the country with my husband who's here on business, which meant that I dined alone on the 2nd visit. I did not feel out of place dining on my own. We both had the steak pie, different fillings, and both were...

I found this place on the net while staying a few miles away. Excellent choice on the menu and delicious food. Staff very cheerful and eager to help. I liked it so much I booked to go back the next night as well! Having checked the room rates, next time we'll stay as well since the room prices were cheaper...

Having found the Roebuck on TripAdviser and read the good reviews we went along for a meal and so enjoyed it that we went the next night as well. If I had to find something negative (hence only 4 stars) it would be that with all the brilliant and tasty fare done to perfection why was it that all the...

I would like to award 3.5 stars as the Roebuck restaurant is better than average, perhaps "good" rather than very good. I have eaten twice here this year (2015), both times in groups (16 and 21) and both times the food and service have been very good. The staff are very friendly and efficient and the quality and taste of...

The mains were nice but the wait was so long and the restaurant was empty so unsure why it took so long, the young girls were not trained properly and couldn't answer any questions on food and drink, both deserts were disappointing, very small and my brownie was dry and not that nice, it was well overpriced at over £5...

If you're expecting an olde worlde pub close to Shakespeare's birthplace you'll be disappointed. If you simply want top class pub food in more modern surroundings with an extensive menu, not cheap but reasonable prices, great beer & wine and extremely efficient and pleasant service, I highly recommend this 'pub'. We'll be back the next time that we visit the...

We had my grandmothers wake here last week and the owners couldn't have been more helpful, friendly and easy to deal with. The inn is very tastefully decorated and cosy, with a good choice of Ales and good quality coffee. The food was excellent, well presented, tasty, plentiful and we got very good value for money. We will definitely be back...
