This was a really friendly place to stay in a stunningly beautiful countryside area but also really close to the town. The owners of the B&B were both friendly and welcoming. The place is a little cluttered but for me it gave me a really homely feel. It was like staying in your Nanny's house.

We stayed two nights at Avondale during our 10 days in Ireland. Wonderful hosts Aisla and Tom McQueen. Friendly, informative and always smiling. We shared stories and were shown Aisla's incredible craft talents and Tom's wood carving - he makes the most awesome violins! Great location to do day trips north east, north and north west. B&B very clean, ensuited...

Excellent, quiet beautiful B+B. 10 out of 10. Listen to Tom play the fiddle on U Tube. Listen to Tom play the fiddle at Avondale you won't want to leave. Seperate toilet and shower for ensuite are a great idea. Beautiful guests lounge area and plenty to see in the surrounding area.

What a wonderful place to stay. Aisla and Tom are fantastic hosts. Nothing is a problem for them and Aisla cooks the most wonderful breakfasts with the famous Cookstown sausages. It is nice and quiet and only a few minutes into town where there are some great restaurants to eat at. The room we had was lovely and spacious and...

I am sure that not nearly enough people know about this fabulous B&B situated in the countryside just a short distance from Cookstown. It is a lovely home with Ailsa and Tom being two of the nicest people you could hope to meet. They made us feel so at home. Our room was large and comfortable with a huge bathroom...

We stayed here in September last year when over for our friends wedding, which was nearby. Lovely friendly welcome from Ailsa and Tom. This is a clean well kept house, decor may be old fashioned for some but it is a B&B not a hotel. You are immersed farmland so no road noise. We had the en-suite family room which...
