Pros Friendly and welcoming staff. The hotel is in the Center of Carmarthen. Great breakfast included in a price. Clean and refurbished rooms and bathrooms. Cons No Wifi. If you coming to do some business and need internet- do not go. They advertise that internet is through out but we asked to change even rooms but didn't help. Used own...

Booked a single room for two nights over a weekend. Arrived and found that I also had been upgraded to a beautiful double room. The room was very smart and very clean, especially the en-suite bathroom. The only downside is that on Saturday night it was right over the bar area where there was live music. But this is a...

Stayed two nights recently, booked a single room but was given a double for no extra charge. Room at front of the hotel with secondary glazing to reduce any noise from the street. Comfortable bed, tea making facilities, TV and en suite bathroom with very good shower. A car park at rear which has a fairly narrow entrance so care...

Hadn't been here for many years but popped in for lunch and were delighted to find that the old place hadn't changed. Extremely well priced carvers with plentiful helpings. Warm and friendly welcome, prompt and attentive service in a lovely setting.

Visiting someone close by so overnight stay due to 4 hour drive each way. Hotel is adequate with clean and comfortable room and en-suite bathroom. Had room 21 on top floor which was at rear of building so no road noise as mentioned in other reviews and had a good night's sleep. Paid £55 for the night including breakfast so...

What an appalling meal we had... We had an overnight stay in Carmarthen to do some Christmas shopping and was staying in a local B and B, we saw came across the Boars Head Hotel and thought it looked nice for a nice meal for me and my partner ... Cut a long story short ... My partner ordered the...

Nice, pleasant old inn, with average sized rooms and big bathrooms. Cleanliness all around. Staff helpful and with a warm smile. Breakfast good. One has to order it, though - and this is right, so that there won't be any wastages. Internet however was quasi zilch in our room but ok at the restaurant. Parking very limited but we always...

Recently stayed here while attending a meeting in the town, decided to stay overnight due to meeting next day in Aberystwyth. Room was very nice, only slight drawback being exceptionally hot, unable to turn the heating down. Spent few hours in the bar in the evening which was ok , but bar staff a little surly. Breakfast next morning was...

Obviously the rooms have just been re decorated and bathrooms renovated all to a very good standard. Pillows rather hard though. Bathroom was very nice! Met by really friendly staff who took us to our room. Breakfast was good but service could be better. Two major faults...... fire doors wedged open in hallways and ALL my credit card details were...

I stayed at the Boars Head for two nights and was quite disappointed. It had its good points but a lot of bad points. For a start their website is misleading and needs updating. The website does not give very much information, and the prices advertised are incorrect. Because of this I paid more than expected. The place was disorganised...
