My wife and i stayed for one night on business in January. This was our second stay within a period of 2 months and we paid £80 B&B. Bedroom: Much better this time. Although we were still facing the back of the hotel, our room was much lighter and with a better bed than the one we stayed in previously...

We enjoyed our stay there. The hotel was part of our pleasant travel. Very clean spacious rooms and well decorated, comfortable beds and pillows. The staff was friendly and efficient. A special thanks to Sharon and Maria that helped me no matter the time or the request. They really behaved totally professionally and friendly, better than any other staff at...

As a general rule I think that Sunday roasts are better at home than in restaurants; but this one was very good. We came on the off chance after a walk round Dynefor park and were found a table. We both had roast pork, which came with delicious, porky, slightly sticky gravy, good roast and mashed potatoes, beans, carrots and...

Stayed for only one night, but what a night. If you find anywhere better in the locality, I'll eat my hat. No room numbers, rooms are named after local castles. We stayed in Roche Castle. Massive comfortable bed, great bathroom with a shower system I have never seen before! Wardrobe behind a secret double mirror! So quiet, no noise at...

A special offer took us back to the Cawdor some years after the last visit. The hotel has certainly had a face-lift and the rooms were very comfortable and welcoming. The dining room was well spaced out which made it more intimate at the table and the service was excellent, with the young waitress happy and smiling. To add to...

My husband and I stayed at the Cawdor for one night whilst visiting South Wales to purchase a springer spaniel. From the moment we stepped inside I knew we had made the right choice. A friendly face at reception, lovely comfy lounge with big leather sofas, cosy bar and, although we had selected, the least expensive room type, our accommodation was...

Whether you opt for the full works in the restaurant or the bar menu, you won't go wrong with either choice. The 3 course restaurant lunch is great value. Staff in the restaurant are exceptionally pleasant and helpful.

I've been to the Cawdor to eat or stay a couple of times now and I'll almost certainly stop there again. Don't be put off by the slight air of mild inefficiency at anything to do with the booking, the Cawdor is run by people who know about hotels. Actually, it's run by /people/ rather than by processes which is...
