staff was polite and made us feel welcome. Room was spacious, bed was very comfortable. Free wi-fi. Local restaurant near by. Restaurant downstairs. It was very quiet did not hear people leave the restaurants Would recommend and stay again. In the town centre

Staff at the pub cant do enough for you. Made us feel right at home. I missed breakfast in the morning and they came over around 9am to see if I would like anything cooking up. The rooms are not in the pub itself but in an annexe out the back (a bit like chalets). Nice and quiet, massive beds,...

Tough to review this place. The new owner is clearly on a mission, and there's genuine hospitality here. If it were cheap, I could recommend it with caveats. But it isn't cheap. The pub is roadside with 2 single story buildings in the back that provide motel style rooms. The front building is apparently dedicated (at least for now) to...

We stayed here for one night , much too expensive for what it is , they should be paying us to stay here !!!! The lamp on the bedside table only works if you get it in the right position ( dodgy electrics ) as for breakfast , we didn't bother to wait to be served , as they could...

My friends and I venture across to Woodwalton from time to time to visit the Elephant and Castle. Nick gets his Chinese takeaway from the Hot Wok which is based at the pub - and very good they are too. Last night we popped in for a couple of beers and found that the pub had changed hands. Sydney bought...

When we arrived the room was freezing. A tiny electric heater was insufficient to provide any heat at all. Worse the bathroom was filthy, behind the door there was an accumulation of dust and hair. There was no hot water for washing. Breakfast was advertised from 8am but the literature stated that it could be taken earlier by agreement. We...

We were due to meet friends here for a Chinese meal and decided to have a drink in the Bar whilst we waited. The barmaid was sitting at one of the tables with her Tablet having a loud conversation on Skype. Admittedly she informed her friend on the other end of her conversation that she had a customer and came...

My sister and I were in for our father's funeral and Val and her staff couldn't be nicer. They took very good care of us and went beyond our expectations to make sure we were comfortable. It helped having a restaurant on the premises which came in very handy and the pub was a bonus!

They people at The Elephant & Castle were very friendly. Me and my friend from The Netherlands were traveling through and just stayed for one night. Since out boat would board in the evening we were able to check in till 11 PM. In the front of this hotel/motel there's a pub, also open to the neighborhood. Behind the pub...
