We drove here from Northamptonshire the drive was easy and although the roads into wales were long winding and bending it has beautiful scenery .. the hills up to the lodges were easily sign posted and although the last bit was single lane, we never crossed with another car.
The cabins are definitely rural and in the middle of nowhere in the countryside. But they have plenty of nature walks, woodlands and villages surrounding them.
Check in was simple, all the lodges had the name on the front so you knew which one was yours. The lodge on arrival was warm with the heating on, and had the hot tub heated aswell. It was clean and well organised, with a better equipped kitchen than we have at home. It has all the utensils and trays/pots/pans you’ll need. Don’t forget to take teatowels with your other towels.
The three bedrooms are spacious and feel homely, with a comfy bed. The curtains are blackout so you don’t get disturbed by the light.
The views are beautiful and your own lodge is surround by trees enough for you not to be able to notice or see your neighbours.
If you’re looking for things to do take the short 10 min drive to Pont Llogel Walk along the River. The scenery was beautiful. (Pictures attached)
Would 100% stay here again. This time for longer than 3 nights so we had the time to visit many more of the outdoor walks/climbs.

We had a lovely family Easter break in Celyn 1 for 4 nights. 2 Adults 2 Children Aged 5 & 7. It is literally in the middle of no where, so anywhere you want to go you will have to drive. We had a little wander around the area up to the woods but there wasn't really anywhere to go, we were just admiring all the baby lambs around. Super cute.
We arrived earlier than the check in time and Richard was happy for us to check in early but we just had to wait for the hot tub to be ready. We were very happy with the size of the Lodge and how cosy it felt. All heated and ready for when we arrived.
We had a few issues with the signal in our TV, so we called Richard and he came to help straight away. Within about an hour he had brought us a brand new TV, which was a bonus as it was a smart TV so we were able to watch Netflix instead of just free view. He just couldn't do enough to help us and was very friendly.
We enjoyed a very peaceful weekend, lots of sight seeing, walking and dips in the hot tub. We would definitely return. Birds tweeting in the mornings, the sound of running water from the stream behind, I can imagine it to be lovely and peaceful in the mornings (without children ha ha).
Below are the places we visited and would recommend (All less than an hours drive from Belan Bach Lodges):
1. Lake Vyrnwy
2. Barmouth Beach - Great beach!
3. Pistyll Rhaeadr Waterfall - Absolutely stunning!
4. Easter Steam Train Ride from Llanfair Light Railway
We also had an ASDA food delivery which was great. We even took our air fryer with us as we had heard that the oven takes a while to heat food, which we can agree with, as it took about an hour to cook a pizza. Appliances all look brand new, apart from the Oven.
Well equipped with pots, pans, etc. You will just need to take all of your condiments as it is just crockery and cooking equipment. A couple of tea bags and that's about it. I took extra toilet roll, kitchen roll, tea towel, dish cloth, extra dishwasher tablets, cleaning spray, washing up liquid, tea bags, coffee, sweeteners/sugar, foil, cling film, sandwich bags, tupperware.
Overall a lovely time was had by all and I would definitely recommend and I am quite fussy. Also if you look on Trip Advisor you can get some more pictures as Home to Go and Hoseasons just use generic pictures for all of these lodges.
There were some cob webs found inside the lodge and the decking could do with a bit of TLC but other than that, we were very impressed. Thank you Richard and Family :)

We stayed at Belan bachllodges for a few days to celebrate a birthday and anniversary! It was absolutely lovely. We arrived late afternoon and the llodge was ready with the key in the door , the hot tub on and ready to jump in to. After not being able to find many photographs off celyn 1 i was positivity surprised and happy when we arrived to see a lovely llodge nice and clean, bright & modern. ( I have added some pics for anyone else struggling) Had everything we needed and very comfortable or the 4 off us! The views are absolutely amazing from here especially this llodge, we enjoyed them from the hot tub and the living room with a bru in the mornings. It has a very out off the way feel- peaceful. It is about half and hour to get anywhere including shops etc but we took everything we needed so was no need to go out shopping. We visited the close town off Welshpool which was lovely and I would highly recommend visiting the lake Vyrnwy dam and waterfalls which is a lovely day walking and picture ops. Also there is a walking trail about 5/10 mins drive which is a lovely Forrest of pine trees - great for walking the dog. The owners poped down briefly to check everything was ok on the second day and last night to run threw COVID things and I would like to thank them - lovely people. I would definitely recommend visiting these lodges they are a lovely break away from normality. Thanks Belan Bach

My partner and I had a lovely break here in September.
We stayed in the Banwy Lodge and having read reviews and seen limited photos I was a bit dubious about the lodge.
We were pleasantly surprised, it has been updated and was clean. It had lots of space around the lodge, all too often many parks have them to close giving you little or no privacy. We had good space in front and both sides of the lodge, with trees either side giving you privacy especially for getting in and out of the hotub.
The views from the lodge are the best we've had, stunning. On a clear night you can sit in the hotub and look at the stars.
There are only around four or five lodges on this site so it is nice and peaceful and not busy with constant passers by.
All in all we loved our stay and would definitely visit again.
(the beds are unmade in the pictures as I stripped them before leaving, they were made for our arrival)

Once again totally outstanding. Was a perfect break for us. Richard and family went above and beyond to give you your privacy plus make sure your ok as well. Hot tubs were checked first thing in mornings to make sure they were perfect for your day ahead. As for value for money there is no better place. Can't wait till next year 🙏🙏

This would have got top marks if it wasn’t for the check in/check out times. You’re not allowed to check in before 5pm & have to leave before 9am on the day of departure. They say it’s to give the lodge a deep clean because of Covid but that isn’t true. Are lodge was clean, but on closer inspection it didn’t justify the check in times.
We stayed in Dyfnant lodge. Absolutely beautiful. The furniture is top class. Not cheap & tacky. The beds are sooooo comfy. 100% cotton bedding as well.
Kitchen well stocked but just a couple of items that could be added. Only 1 big mug for tea/coffee. No salt, vinegar, tin foil. Just little things which would be a lovely added touch. No hairdryer. No hoover. Disappointed with hot tub. Water was discoloured.
Richard was very nice though & told us about a market at Machynlleth which we visited on Wednesday which was nice.
The lodges are isolated & wifi signal not strong. Tv hit and miss so bring some board games, books & DVD’s!
All in all though it was a lovely quiet, relaxing break. Would stay again

We stayed at Belan Bach in the Derwen lodge for three nights and enjoyed the experience. The lodge was very clean, modern and well equipped. The hot tub adjacent to the lodge was also very clean and was ready for use on arrival. Had a little trouble on arrival with the wi fi - essential when you have two 12 year olds ! But this was very quickly resolved by the excellent hosts who couldn’t do enough to make sure your stay is enjoyable.
Barmouth and Lake Vyrnwy are both worth a visit and easily accessible. The local pub is 5 mins down the road but the road is narrow and not recommended as a walk due to narrow road - certainly not a walk back ! So take your own supplies and enjoy the magnificent views, the fabulous stars at night and the fantastic peace and quiet

We stopped for a week, everything you needed for a relaxing break away. Lodge could do with a little tlc on the outside, little deep clean inside, but itvwas clean and tidy, warm and cosy.
Hot tub was great.
Location lovely and quiet, takes 30min to get to shops.
Things I'd suggest take tea tea towels, extra spa towel you only get one towel each.
For the Lodge it would be useful for instructions on how the oven works and how to change temp on hot tub.
Great week had, would go back, reasonably priced for what you get.

Booked before the mad rush of Brits wanting to holiday in the UK. Excellent value for money! Lovely quiet location and not too far from the nearest town (Welshpool). About an hours drive from the beach subject to your route (Barmouth)
Only gripe we had was the images showing the “onnen” weren’t the lodge itself however the lodge was still great.
Check-in was 5pm so had to spend the day keeping ourselves entertained elsewhere and checkout was early at 9am. Understandable with the current covid restrictions/health & hygiene requirements.
Would certainly look to stop here again, Wales is certainly a gem on our doorstep.

Can agree with some of the other reviews about the lodges needing a little TLC on the exterior, but this does not reflect the interior or the stay. The interior is very homely, and makes you feel cosy.
Owners pleasant, lodge unlocked and heating on for arrival. Enough amenities within the lodge, from extra pillows, bedding to kitchen utensils. Would return.
Welshpool, a 30 minute drive away with supermarkets and things to do/see.
Lake Vyrnwy, a 15/20 minute drive away with an impressive dam and a lovely drive around the lake.
To top it off - we even saw the Northern Lights.

There was no charge when we stayed. Password for the WiFi was in our lodge.
I had the same lodge booked last year only stayed an hour nothing like advertised and got a full refund. Unless some serious renovation work has been done I wouldn't recommend.
