We really enjoyed our 3 days stay at the Menjangan resort. We stayed at the pool villa upon check in but when saw the beach front villa, we wanted to experience staying there. The view is breathtaking. In saying that, after 1 night stay at the beach villa, we ended up moving back to the pool villa. The bathroom at the pool villa is all closed which is great and the reason why we switched back. The beach front villa is lovely but the bathroom is open and unfortunately not as clean as we would like it to be. Very unfortunate. It was also the rainy season and sure enough, it did rain at night. The bathroom just got all wet and dirty and you do get wet going out there as well. I personally think this area should be closed off as much as we love nature. The mosquitoes were also a problem with having an open bathroom. You pay more money staying at the beach villa as well. Due to covid, only one restaurant was open. It was the one on the beach. The view and service was good but food was really bland. Other than that, the resort location is great if you love the outdoors and nature. It’s really peaceful and just a wonderful get away to escape from the hussell and bussell. All the staff were very accommodating as well. We highly recommend.

Dear 213farrahr, thanks a lot. It is good to know you enjoyed your escape to nature at The Menjangan and had some memorable moments. Your feedback about the bathrooms at the Beach as well as the food will be shared amongst the team for our improvement and we appreciate this a lot. During rainy season with heavy rain during afternoon and night it certainly is challenging to have the semi-outdoor bathroom area spotless at all times. The housekeeping team does their best to clean the area during the room cleaning as well as prior turn down; surely you experienced this too and could see them working your room. It is true that being so close to nature is something for a nature lover as well as someone seeking privacy and tranquility; all this can easily be achieved with us. Definitely worth a trip and something to experience. Maybe the dry season would be a good time for you to come back, to explore the area at that period and to get a different feel. We would be happy to welcome you back. Ingo & The Menjangan Family Resort Manager

We stayed only for 1 night and felt that it was not enough. The menjangan have many activities to be explored that will make you not bored. The breakfast is very nice and delicious. You could ride a horse in the middle of the forest which we missed it due to the timing. We'll be back for sure.

Beautiful surroundings, spacious, room, polite and helpful staff. The food was expensive but delicious. Fantastic snorkeling at Menjangan Island. Plenty of wildlife around, including the Menjangan deer and monitor lizards. It was very peaceful and relaxing. We enjoyed every moment of our stay here.

They said this was the first resort in West Bali National Park before the new resort coming in. We can see their best effort to mingle with the nature. There are 3 separare places, the Monsoon Lodge (has 16 rooms on deluxe, 4 rooms for Suite), the Bali Tower (where the receptionist were located) and 7 unit Beach Villas and Pantai Restoran. The suite room in Monsoon lodge were spacious, and the nice swimming pool are so close from the door. At night, you can hear the sound of night creature accompanying your sleep. It feels so refreshing for city person like me. Before the pandemic, there is a Bistro/restaurant on the the Bali Tower. But now, the restaurant only available on the beach. You need to call the shuttle to go from Monsoon to the beach and it took like 5-8 minutes. Expect a lot of mosquitos in the resto during the night although the provide citronella spray for mosquito repellent. Even they provide anti insect spray. Since the location is far from everywhere, you were encourage to have lunch and dinner in the restaurant. It is a good experience for me and family, a unique atmosphere and ambience, quite in the most natural surroundings. But, I'm not that lucky to see the menjangan during our 2 night stays there. A recommended place to stay with your loved one.

Dear Harianto K, thanks a lot. All of the team at The Menjangan are very happy to read your review about your recent stay with us. It certainly made their day too and they were excited to know that you had a wonderful time with us. Our location being so remote and inside the national park is a great advantage and contributes to amazing experiences to make as well as just some relaxing as well as peaceful time; a great city escape as you said. The pandemic also had an impact on us and our restaurant operations focusses on the beach venue with Pantai Restaurant; yet we can assure you that once the pandemic is over our Tower will be open again for meals. Right now you were hopefully able to enjoy some mesmerizing sunset from the 5th floor. We hope to welcome you back soon for more memorable moments with your family at The Menjangan.
