We were at I Due Ghiri with one couple, two adults and mother with a two year old. Sheep, dogs, cats, chicken and bunnies were to be explored by our youngster - the adults enjoyed the marvelous food and wine. Gaia and Stefano know their ways around the area and give their guests the right amount of advice and small...

Our room was located in an out building on the property along with two other units. There was a queen bed for my husband and I and bunk beds that my adult son slept in. Our hosts were very gracious, even if Stefano did not speak much English. The beds were comfortable, but unfortunately, due to the rains, we did...

Again we are coming back! To enjoy the heartwarming hospitality of Gaia and Stefano, to enjoy the beautiful and delicious meals and wine in company of other gasts; the silence, the views and sunsets. And a very good starting point to explore the Cinque Terre!

I've really loved my stay at "I due ghiri". The rooms were nice, comfortable and very, very clean; Gaia's cooking is top-class; the atmosphere is really friendly - you definitely feel at home; and the landscape is breath-taking. Definitely worth a try (and the prices are quite moderate too!).

My boyfriend and I (both living in London) stayed at Gaia & Stefano’s Agriturismo for two nights in June this year as one of many stops on our road trip through Italy. It was our first experience in terms of Agriturismi, hence our slight scepticism as we didnt know what to expect…it could go either way…however, what we ended up...

We had a fabulous holiday staying at the Due Ghiri. Superbly calm surrounding, great food, good company (Gaia is passionate about cooking) and great wine! The coast was a 20/30min drive away, perfect for kids naps on the way back to the b&b. What more do you want?... Ah yes, entertainment for the kids in the form of Stefano, cats,...

I booked this agriturismo for the following reasons: 1. Family-style dinners prepared by the owners 2. Wonderful surroundings 3. Strategic location for the sights nearby (Cinque Terre, Ligurian sea, Genova, Pisa, etc.) 4. Dogs, cats and further animals around the buildings I due Ghiri exceeded all of our expectations. Thank you Gaia and Stefano for the wonderful hospitality! We can't...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
We are in a cool and quiet area of the Val di Vara, a few kilometers from the Cinque Terre and the Gulf of Poets (Lerici, Portovenere and Tellaro) but also great starting point for visiting the historical center and Aquarium of Genoa, the beautiful Portofino, Camogli and San Fruttuoso, or corners of Tuscany as the marble quarries of Carrara or the cities of Lucca, Pisa and Florence. We produce organic olive oil and organic vegetables and raise sheep and poultry. We recommend a stay at the Due Ghiri to all those who do not seek the services of a hotel (rooms with TV, minibar, air conditioning, daily room cleaning) but rather homely and relaxing atmosphere, the pleasure of dining together, a kitchen absolutely simple, based mainly corporate and biological products. ... more   less
