Nicely situated towards the harbour areas of town we stayed here on our last night so as to be close for the ferry, room was clean but tired and the view was of the service vent a draw back of the cheapest rooms but our option not to overspend, Well within walking distances of of port side restaurants and cafes...

We stayed one night after getting off the ferry from England. The boat arrived after 23 so I had to contact the hotel to let them know because it said you could only check-in till 21. They gave me the room number and code to the door so we could get in. Very convenient! We had a family room –...

Nothing pretentious about this little place which seems to specialise in providing cheap zzzs for travellers heading to and from the ferry. Basic room, skeletal beds and thin sheets. But it's clean and the breakfast is adequate.

Great location , clean hotel, very snug shower, towels had seen better days frayed edges and on the thin side. Breakfast was a bit disappointing not a lot of choice coffee was like sludge . Would stay again but have breakfast elsewhere.

We first stayed here in 1986 and have been visiting on and off since then. Perfect for a short stay Many people may be put off by the fact that there is no lift and the stairs are narrow, but that is a small price to pay for cleanliness and value for money The one thing that stops me giving this,one...

A simple, clean hotel in a great location. We thought our room, overlooking the street, was excellent value for money - plain, but clean, with comfortable clean beds and a small but clean bathroom. Staff were friendly and helpful, and noise from restaurant and street was minimal, easily compensated for by being so close to market, shops and sights. Would...

Arrived after a stressful ferry journey from Dieppe at 2am. "Hotel" is right next to the church and at the time the French neighbours were partying with loud music. Church bells could be heard early in the morning. Wardrobe was broken - door came off the hinge. Room was large but had to walk up 4 long flights of steep...

The good: Location. Right in the heart of old town surrounded by shops and cafes. Comfortable beds. Large room by European standards. Bright, clean, newly renovated bathroom...although there was mold in the bathtub. The bad: Warning...at least in room 6. Unsafe hand-held shower holder. I pushed the shower head up the pole so that I could wet my hair and...

We spent 2 nights here. The room was fine but up 50+ stairs. We overlooked the road outside which was entertaining during daylight but a pain when trying to sleep. Passing traffic and pedestrians were bad enough but when the restaurant downstairs was packing away the (noisy metal) tables at closing time sleep was nigh on impossible. Also the junction...
