Colin and Nicky have to be the nicest landlords we've stayed with. Visiting my mum, so wanted a nice place to have food and stay a night. What a find. They had about 40 farmers and French helpers arrive for dinner, but they still looked after us so well. Beer excellent and the food certainly hit the spot. Room small,...

Decided to have lunch on our way to Newtown from Hereford so rang the day before to book a table, we were advised it would be 2pm. Arrived at 1.30pm and made very welcome, we were kept informed that as soon as they had replenished vegetables we could go through to restaurant even though we were early. We had my...

What a great welcome! Friendly, good local beer and lovely old quaint pub. Lovely bedrooms too-not very big room and quite small ensuite but beautifully decorated- lovely deep carpets and great little touches e.g. The bedroom is a bit small for a wardrobe so they have a great antique travelling case type wardrobe with drawers containing s hair dryer, hanging...

We appeared on the doorstep with our 2 dogs for a meal out. We were made to feel very welcome and we're even given food for the dogs. Definitely coming back great atmosphere and fab food. Can recommend the homemade pork rissoles if it's on the specials menu.

A welcoming landlord with great food and drinks. The menu has good pub classics with home made chips and well cooked steak. A full range of mustards including a chef specialty chilli salsa. Flagon cider is also a good local drink.

Went to Fforest Inn today for the Sunday Carvery, wonderful food, service and overall experience. Where else for less than £30 can you get drinks, deserts and a wonderful Carvery including Beef, Pork Lamb and Ham. I wholly recommend the Inn and will be back there in a few weeks when next away camping. Thank you for a lovely meal.

Fantastic, quaint country pub. Colin and Nicky are great owners who provide a 5* service. Rooms are warm and comfortable. Food is home-cooked and very tasty. The pub is dog friendly too! (A big plus).
