Me and my nephew went for the second time in september for a fishing trip around the beara peninsula. As last year, we have lodged at the Hungry Hill lodge, where we are welcomed as the somewhat lost sons of the owner. As on our evening of arriving, we got both of us our first dogfish, so happy we were....

Stayed here with a couple of my motorcycle friends for 2 nights. The place is excellently situated for one or two day trips around the areas of Cork and Kerry. The tent area is spacious enough and the ground good. the outdoor toilets clean. No tent, no problem! Indoors they have a diversity of good clean rooms, a camping kitchen...

Lovely clean room, for me and 2 friends. Had it to ourselves. Man who checked us in was so friendly! And gave us good advice as to where to go in the area (very quiet area, we were driving on to mizen head the next morning) very reasonable price but you have to book breakfast separately so don't forget!

We stayed 3 nights in a nice and comfortable double room to explore the Beara peninsula. We had a lovely hillwalk up to Maulin and Knocknagree and we drove the Beara way. Every evening we cooked in the well equipped and clean kitchen and enjoyed the beautiful and peaceful place drinking a pint. We would like to stay there again.

This was a great place to stay! The lodge was very well equipped with everything you needed. Comfortable rooms and such a super kitchen with all equipment in good condition.. Owen was very helpful, as was his wife Barbara, and made sure we had all that we needed. A good base for touring the Beara Peninsula and right to the...

I only stayed one night but I had a great sleep in the lodge in a double room. Book directly with Owen by phone or email as the rates are better than using online booking agents. The kitchen is large and spotless with everything you could need to cook (& even an espresso/cappuccino machine!). There are picnic benches you can...

I am just back a day from this campsite and was sad to leave ! We rented a tent for five nights. With a 1 and 5 year old was so brilliant to arrive and have everything there and set up. There is everything you would want including fridge, hob, microwave, blow up mattresses, cutlery so it made it very...

From what I can see, this facility is probably good for hostelling and camping, however definitely not for caravans. The owner didn't know that one wet day in an otherwise very dry period causes the field to be saturated with the flow down Hungry Hill, and so our small two-berth caravan was stuck for two days after we were supposed...

On your arrival with your caravan I showed you a suitable place to park next to the drive but you insisted on putting it next to the hedgerow on already wet ground and more rain was forecast. You did not use your caravan at all for the period of 10 days whilst pitched on site, therefore you did not appreciate...
