We stayed here recently with our two dogs, the rooms were very large, breakfast was varied with a cooking station and all the usual European breakfast items. The location and setting is what really sets this apart it's very peaceful with a park opposite the owners also allow access to and nothing else in the immediate vicinity so very quiet.... More

We stayed for two nights whilst visiting the Ardenne and Luxembourg City. The hotel is located on the outskirts of Berdorf on a quiet rural lane. The hotel facilities are good and include a small bar adjacent to the dining room and, surprisingly, a reasonably sized indoor swimming pool. The bedrooms were well appointed with a comfortable bed and a... More

Actually the decorations in this hotel must be seen to be believed... Take for instance the picture frames above our bed of which I have uploaded a photo. They represent two photo's of a kid in the seventies... not only is this unbelievably ugly, the pictures are so old they're completely faded. This goes for everything in the room and... More

we stayed here on our last day of our vacation, on our way back from France. the hotel has an impressive lobby, but the rooms are average. the surroundings are magnificent, and this alone makes the hotel worth a stay. however, we have very negative critic about the hotel restaurant. when you visit their website you'll see they offer gastronomical... This charming older hotel has MANY assets: - quiet location on a country road, just outside the village of Berdorf - centrally located in Mullerthal region - charming exterior with outdoor terrace out front - friendly, helpful staff, including several who spoke some English - elegant dining room - delicious food - very generous breakfast - lovely grassy area just... We had originally booked the hotel as a stopover on our way from the Provence to Germany, but it turned out to be a very comfortable refuge on the edge of the famous Mullerthal nature reserve. We instantly loved the surroundings of the hotel and the amiable charme both of the very agile and friendly proprietress and the nostalgic design... More

A great little hotel in a semi-rural environment that has probably not changed a lot in many years. Our room was fine with plenty of room, an adequate bathroom> It also had a balcony that, until the trees grew up around the property, would have had wide views of the countryside. Breakfast was served with a degree of elegance no... More

Hotel a little old fashioned and shabby. Room disapointing . Would benefit from tea and coffee making facilities in rooms and more mirrors. Good food. Good area for walking. More information about local area would have been helpful.

There was a touch of melancholy here as I wandered out after a champagne breakfast and quietly watched, from under a tree needful of some attention, an elderly couple, dressed in whites palying cards on a green beize games table, each fading a little. Somehow I found myself reflecting on a more noble age that this lovely hotel seemed to... More

Nice quiet location, not in the center of Luxembourg. The surroundings are amazing, great to go for a walk. Mme Bisdorff cooks some very nice food, the staff is friendly, will go again when I am in Luxembourg next time... Price/quality was ok with me...

“Avoid the rooms immediately above the verandah during summer-this is used as the smoking area by diners who may chat quietly away over their post prandial cigar under your window. Pleasant in its way of course.”
