My fiancé booked this for my birthday back in March but because of lockdown had to reschedule. Tracey and Terry we’re both so welcoming and friendly, explained all the necessities and left us to it! We stayed in Birch which had been decorated for my birthday still 🥳 during the day we visiting the waterfalls and lakes. A cool box is provided with ice blocks to keep food/drinks cold, very much appreciated! The bathrooms are separate but a short walk away from the yurts and very modern which makes you feel refreshed and relaxed! We can’t wait to book our next getaway with Secret Yurts 🥰 thank you for an amazing weekend!

Thank you for your kind words! Phil and I are now owners of The Secret Yurts and would love to welcome you back one day. We've kept all the best bits and then added some more luxury on top. For instance, you now have access to the modern farmhouse kitchen! We also now accept dogs in two of our yurts. Please get in touch if you'd like to find out more 😊 Best wishes Michelle and Phil Cleary

The whole point of booking The Secret Yurts was to completely unwind. That is exactly what we did. We were welcomed by Tracey who showed us around. We soon settled into getting the stove burning and enjoying the sounds of nature. The hot tub was maintained brilliantly by Terry during our 3 night stay; as was the wood and coal supply for the stove burner that heats the yurt. The yurt (we stayed in the Oak) is kitted out in such a way that it feels super cozy and has a big comfy bed. There is a solid fuel stove in the centre of the room which gets plenty hot enough for the coldest nights. The kitchenette and small dining area is outside the yurt doorway in a small wooden building and was perfectly suited to basic cooking. We didn't find anything lacking in the utensils or facilities. The weather was amazing during our stay and ate our meals out on the decking. The shower and toilet were immaculate when we arrived and the fact that it was a short walk down the path from our yurt didn't bother us in the slightest. There is a strong recycling ethic followed by the owners, who as guests to help by sorting recycling and compostable materials so that they can help to reduce waste. We were more than happy to do this and the containers provided made it really easy. We wouldn't hesitate to book again as we can't fault The Secret Yurts at all!

We stayed in the Rowan Yurt and had a lovely stay. Yurt was very clean and bed very comfortable. Michelle and Phil very helpful and accommodating upon our arrival. There is a shared kitchen and toilet/shower block. The kitchen is fully fitted with all utensils, cooker and fridge. There are cupboards available to store your items and plenty of space in the fridge. Each yurt has its own allocated shower room so you were able to leave your belongings in the room.
We benefitted from nice weather so were able to sit outside of an evening to have a drink which was nice. The only suggestion I would make is that it would have been nice to have some sort of seating area in the Yurt, just a table and chairs so there was somewhere to sit of a morning or inside should the weather not be so good. I imagine in the winter it would be nice to sit by the fire with a wine if it was too cold raining to sit outside.
Overall a fantastic stay and will definitely be back!

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience at The Secret Yurts and we are delighted you loved it! We like your suggestion of maybe somewhere to sit at a table within the yurt rather than on the chaise, and will see what we can do. Looking forward to seeing you again soon! Kind Regards, Michelle

Had this trip booked as a birthday present from my girlfriend.
It was a lovely stay and would highly recommend to anyone who is looking for a couple nights stay somewhere quiet.
We were met with the owner who is very friendly and helpful. She took us up to the yurt (stayed in the one to the left, can't remember the name) and showed us around and explained everything that was needed. The kitchen had been set up on the decking due to covid restrictions, which meant we couldn't use the kitchen which was previously shared between all yurts. However, this is something that made our experience better.
We thoroughly enjoyed having our own space where we could make as much mess whilst we were there without worry of someone using the space after us. The hottub was heated for us by the owner, which was well needed after we visited Pistyll Rhaeadr waterfall in the rain. The hottub stayed heated well into the night, where we stayed.
Although we could see the other yurt from where we were, you were very secluded and we weren't able to hear them. It was a very nice place to stay, heated up very quickly when putting the log burner on and had lots of space inside. Bathroom made you feel as if you were in a hotel and the same with the bed.

My partner booked The Secret Yurts (Birch Yurt) as a surprise for a little break away for us both and honestly they did not disappoint!
Having only watched the video on their website we felt we knew what to expect however right from arrival to leaving, the welcome we recieved was so warm and friendly and Tracey could not have been more helpful and hospitable right throughout our stay. Warming the hottub daily to ensuring we had everything we needed, as well as recommending local restaurants and activities around the area.
The facilities were outstanding and absolutely everything was readily available for us to use.
The location of the Yurts is so gorgeous, slightly hidden away from the other two and feels so secluded so you can enjoy complete privacy and relaxation if chilling in the room or the hot tub.
We have absolutely loved our stay here and we already cannot wait to come back !
Thank you so much for creating this space and allow us to take some time away from our busy lives and completely switch our minds off and be so chilled and relaxed.

From start to finish, the secret yurts had it all! Every whim is catered for, there’s nothing that is forgotten and everything has been thought about to ensure your stay is perfect!
Michelle knew our two dogs were raw fed and gave them some delectable treats in their welcome pack along with bowls towels and blankets.
The shared kitchen had everything you need so apart from food items, there was no need to bring oil or coffee or tea etc. I must recommend the breakfast pack that Michelle also offers. The bacon and sausage is from the local butcher and is amazing!! And the fresh cake lush!
Michelle had our yurt nice and toasty with the log burner when we arrived and the hot tub ready too. Michelle also got the hot tub ready for a time of our choosing the following day too.
Next to the kitchen there are 3 separate bathrooms for each yurt which is stylish and modern. Even easy to take a muddy dog in there too!
Our stay was fabulous and we can’t wait to come back for the summer!! Thank you to Michelle for being the perfect host!

Alex and i stayed in the Birch Yurt on 22nd and 23rd June. We booked this for our anniversary and so glad we did, everything was just perfect.
Michelle really couldn't do enough for you and is the most amazing host.
The actual yurt was fantastic, the decor is beautiful and you can tell that a lot of thought has gone into it.
The outside of the yurt has a private hot tub (the biggest one of all three yurts), a lovely decking area with chairs and a table where you can sit and listen to all the sounds of nature, so relaxing. You also have your own BBQ and we had our own little serving area too. All very private.
The kitchen is very modern and has everything you would need, including a washing machine and dishwasher, large fridge freezer all the utensils you should require, there are also games and a little hamper of things that you may have forgotten at a very cheap price, there was even a freshly made cake on arrival.
Each yurt has it's own private very modern bathroom, all towels are provided as well as seperate towels for the hot tub.
There is a little farm hut a short walk from the Yurts that has lovely fresh produce and delicious cakes, this is based on a 'honestly' system and it accepts cash and card.
There is also a butchers in Llanfair but beware it closes at 1pm on a Saturday and doesn't re-open until Tuesday but there is a Tesco approx. 9 miles from the site.
There isn't one bad word to say about our stay here, it is perfect if you want to get away from all the stresses of life and just have some private time, this is the place to go. 100% recommend it.
Thank you Michelle and Phill x

Myself and my boyfriend had an amazing stay at The Secret Yurts. The Yurts themselves are tucked away and have a very private and reclusive feel which is exactly what we were looking for. We stayed in Rowan Yurt and therefore had full access to the kitchen and jet hot tub which were lovely extras! The kitchen was fully equipped with everything you could need, all you have to bring is food of course! Tracey was lovely and welcoming and showed us around, she made sure we were okay and happy throughout the stay. The Yurt itself was lovely and so so spacious which we weren't expecting! It had a lovely homely feel and with the wood burner inside it kept lovely and warm when we needed it to be. I could not recommend this place enough for those looking for a break from all the hustle and bustle. My boyfriend has visited Wales multiple times but for myself it was the first visit, and I am definitely now sold thanks to the serenity of The Secret Yurts. There are lots of places to visit within driving distance as well so even though are tucked away, you have access to supermarkets and tourist attractions. We will DEFINITELY be back, could not recommend this place enough!

We stayed in the Rowan yurt over the last bank holiday weekend in August and loved every minute. Tracey and Terry know how to do glamping properly, everything was perfect. The yurt was so cosy and romantic, it really is a special place to stay and have a break from busy life. The hot tub which is designated to guests in the Rowan yurt was huge and super relaxing. We were really impressed at the facilities in the kitchen and bathroom, everything was well equipped. The location is also beautiful, we had two long walks around the surrounding countryside with amazing views. I really hope we have the opportunity to stay here again in future. Michaela & Euan

Hi John,
All three yurts have a private bathroom within the facilities building.
Rowan Yurt - The price for a two night stay is £360
With a large hot tub connects via blue tooth to your phone or so you can create a play list before your stay, this hot tub also has motor massage jets and is located near the facilities building a short walk from the yurt. Rowan has sole use of the kitchen within the facilities building, each yurt has a private barbecue.
(The wood fired hot tubs will be heated to temperature ready to use on arrival, we will light and heat them to temperature each day for guests).
Birch Yurt - The price for a two night stay is £340
With a wood-fired hot tub sits outside the yurt on the deck along with a pop up kitchen within a gazebo and a barbecue.
Oak Yurt - The price for a two night stay is £340
With a wood-fired hot tub sits outside the yurt on the deck along with a pop up kitchen within a gazebo and a barbecue.
Best wishes
Tracey

Powis castle nearby is beautiful
Also lake vwrnwy (sp?!!) well worth a visit; can hire bikes & boats.
Bring an eye mask as the yurts let in lots of light; everything else is really fab!
We stayed in to eat so can’t help with restaurants sorry :)
