Excellent pub with brilliant food, drinks and most importantly atmosphere! Worth the trip there especially if on a sunny day. There are places outside in front of the pub to sit and enjoy the views across the countryside.

a great place to stop for a quiet relaxing drink and home cooking,and the views from the dining are brillant and you can take your dog brilliant,a good choice of real ale and a good choice of home cooking and fairly priced

I have visited the goose half a dozen times while walking in the area and I am happy to say it's still and memorable and warming as ever. The day was a cold wet miserable one but sitting by the fire sipping a few pints...More

What a delight after an arduous uphill walk. A warm welcome, dog friendly, wonderful local ale and delicious home-made bread rolls. A garden with amazing views AND Pygmy goats awwww! We will definitely return.

Until recently this pub was owned by Carol. Now under new management I believe.
