My wife and I found this accommodation to be all that one could ask for of a B & B. Clean, well-managed, in a quiet location and close to beaches and the other attractions of the area, including some very good restaurants. The breakfasts were great and Rose, the proprietor, was always cheerful and couldn't have been more helpful. We...

This b and b is well situated, close to the harbour at Borth y Gest and within walking distance of Porthmadog with its steam railways and good pubs.Rose gives a very warm welcome and seems genuinely interested in her guests rather than some superficial pretence. The cooked breakfast is generous The room itself was quite small and basic but adequate and...

My husband and I stayed with Rose & Nigel for 3 nights last week. The house was spotless, the breakfast large enough to satisfy the most hearty of appetites, but most of all Rose's welcome and hospitality was excellent. We were there to fish in the estuary, we did very well, caught plenty and Rose had no problem freezing them...

We stayed with Rose at Velog B&B for 2 nights in June, the accommodation was excellent - very clean, comfy and welcoming. The view across the bay is lovely. Rose is a great people-person and loves to chat, the perfect host. Local taxi into Porthmadog for pub meals only £3 each way. Definitely stay there again, its ideal for exploring...

Stayed for the Bank Holiday weekend with Rose at Velog. The B&B is very reasonable in pricing and set in a very quiet location with beautiful scenery. About 15minute walk from Porthmadog. Less than 5 if you drive. Rose is a very warm and welcoming host me and my girlfriend would absolutely stay again. What Rose doesnt know about her...

I worked in a hotel for 14 years in my previous job, I have also stayed in many hotels and B & B's in my time. This is one of those rare EXCELLENT ONES! It is a very clean establishment - this includes bedding, towels, tea tray and crockery etc. There were no stray 'hairs' in the bedding. Good facilities...
