We are situated 1 1/4 miles on the outskirts of a beautiful Victorian town named Llandrindod Wells, which nestles amongst the Black Mountain and the the Brecon Beacons. Refreshments have been taken for centuries in the site of todays Bell Country Inn. The hostelry was built for thirsty drovers taking their stock from West Wales to the markets of Gloucester and Hereford. We are the new owners of the Bell and have just finished a complete refurbishment. The Bell now offers guest accommodation comprising of 10 en-suite bedrooms, all to a high standard. Two bars and a restaurant.

Food was OK, garlic mushrooms were good, sea bass was small and overcooked, it was sat on a bed of undercooked veg which would've been OK if it was seasoned or had a sauce on it was bland and uninspiring. The staff were lovely and very accommodating. Wouldn't rush back for food.

Recently stayed at The Bell Inn for a Family Celebration. Room was first class, well decorated and very clean. The evening meal was first class, with a wide and varied menu, including Children's meals. The Staff were all very friendly and very efficient, nothing too much trouble.

Starters: Garlic mushrooms great, stilton & broccoli soup fine.

Mains: Lasagne was more like a cottage pie with pasta on top. A 'Shakshouka' (peppers, onions, baked egg, cumin) was watery. Salad items were comp

We ate here for a family occasion. At the same time they were catering for a large 30th-birthday celebration, so I thought that the service of our meals might be affected. Not a bit of it - the service and the food was faultless.

Can highly recommend if you are in the area.

is it a family friendly restaurant? 2 kids - 7 and 7 months
Yes, I think children would be welcome and catered for. Sometimes service can be a little on the slow side so take plenty of things to do!
