We went because it had a Michelin Star( has it since lost it?) and were extremely impressed with the food and the reasonable prices for what we got. I was dreading pretentiousness, but there was none of that, just really good food -nice beer and fine wine too(though I missed that as I was driving!) Two had lamb, one fish...

We were away for the weekend and friends joined us on Saturday. We opted to stay in the old vicerage, the room was large with great views over the garden. The weather was excellent and Champers in garden was just the ticket. We ate in the resturant on both evenings and the food lived up to it's reputation, soft pink...

This is the third time we have been to The Stagg Inn during a visit to Herefordshire Art Week. It was perhaps even better than previous visits. The welcome and service were friendly and efficient, but most importantly the food was excellent. Top rate local ingredients with some more unusual choices. My wife likes sweetbreads which don't appear too often...

We had heard a lot about the quality of food at the The Stagg Inn and it more than lived up to its reputation. We visited for Sunday lunch and I can honestly say it was one of the best (if not the best) pub Sunday lunch I have had. A little more expensive perhaps than what you could pay...

3rd visit here now. As good as ever. Lovely food, simple but superbly done. Nice friendly relaxed atmosphere and really good service. Highlight was the cheese board and the waiters exceptional knowledge of the cheese! Lucky to have this on our doorstep!

We have eaten here quite a few times & recommended the food to a variety of visitors. However, our visit today was very disappointing. The food choices on the Sunday lunch were uninspiring. They seem to have removed the more exotic offerings which previously incurred a supplement. This left a fairly ordinary menu at a higher price than their main...

This was the second time I have been to this pub/restaurant. It is a pleasant place with a mix of stone and wooden floors. We went to the stagg for a family celebratory meal. The food was ok nothing out of the ordinary. I had rump steak that was cooked just how I had asked. It came with a steel...

We booked a room in the Vicarage for an overnight stay. Building is a few minutes walk from the pub. Lovely room with yummy toiletries and a big bathroom. Comfy bed and a hospitality tray with home made brownies and fresh milk. There is also a large garden and a sitting area for guests. Staff were friendly and helpful and...

I visited this restaurant with 14 friends. We congregate annually for a golf tournament and this was the pre championship meal. The venue makes play of its Michelin star status which left me wondering would it match up to its reputation. Well it did and some. The fixed menu they put on especially for us was magnificent and varied and...
