I thoroughly enjoyed my time her. I came for two nights and stayed two weeks. The dorm is lovely although the shower is a little sketchy as the door didn't lock but it was fine because everyone knew everyone and became a big family. We did some great activities locally with so much to do on your door step. One...

The Maravu Taveuni Lodge is a beautiful place to stay! The staff is so friendly and the food so delicious. You can do a lot of unbelievable activities. Escpecially swimming by the waterfalls is unforgettable. The kava-session with music from Simon and Soni was always the perfect end of a beautiful day. I spent 4 days there but I could...

The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was good. We loved the view from our bure. The bure was in need of updating (new patio furniture, a couple of chairs inside, and the outside bath cleaned up) but it was clean and quiet. Many tours were available and the ones we took we enjoyed. An uphill walk back from...

Taveuni is a gorgeous spot and offered everything we wanted to do in Fiji. In terms of Maravu it needs a lot of work, it has so much potential but so little maintenance is being done. We were their on the package for 5 nights and it really wasn't worth it and we could have done all the amazing activities...

Great spot for what it is. Pros: -Staff could not have been friendlier. We were greeted by name every morning by all the staff we saw. They were open to answering questions, arranging transport to activities, or just chatting. They will honestly do everything they can to make your stay excellent, and were a highlight of the trip for us....

Felt so welcome it was like making a new family. The Bure's are clean and almost all of them have ocean views. We spent 16 days here (wedding included). Almost all the backpackers extended their stays as Taveuni ended up having a lot more to offer than any other island in Fiji. We went to the falls, the coastal hike...

When my wife and I arrived, staff was friendly, helpful, and responsive to your needs. If you are a backpacker, this resort has everything you need. Also, the resort was within minutes of the island's airport. We scheduled a tour to Tavoro Falls and we had a great time with our guide. However, you get what you paid for. The...

We had a good stay. But we had the Combo package which is really not worth it ! It includes some tours, food and accommodation. But it's just the costs you would normally have added together. It is definitely cheaper if you just come here and pay everything separate! Because you get one night free for every 3 nights you...

The outfit that owns this hotel is named "Bamboo" and they own three other hotels in the Wailoaloa area in Nadi (Tropic of Capricorn, Blue Lagoon and Traveller's Beach). Whoever they are, they have done a service to travelers: they provide affordable mid-range accommodations in a country which has either very high end expensive resorts, or backpacker hang outs. Bamboo...

The day we arrived we were met with open arms and a greeting welcome song. The staff/people at Maravu are very warm and welcoming. It didn't take long for us to feel like home and we quickly started to build a friendly relationship with the staff. The ocean view from some of the bures are just SPECTACULAR! And the green...

“Ocean view rooms cost $150 US; for that I'd go more upscale elsewhere on Taveuni. For $65 US you get a nice-enough non-view room.”
