My husband and I stayed at the New Overlander for one night whilst on a business trip, we wish we could have stayed longer! We were greeted by Karen who was friendly and helpful as we were early. Our room was absolutely spotless, cosy with everything we needed. The man working in the bar/restaurant (sorry didn't get his name) was again friendly and helpful, prepared to have a chat and give us some local information etc. The meals were home cooked, plentiful and good value. If we visit this area again we would not hesitate to stay again.

Karen and the team were extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms are spotlessly clean, the food is well cooked plentiful with a varied menu to suit all tastes. A lovely 10-minute walk to the beach and 5 min drive to the town. We had a fantastic holiday and will definitely stay here again.

Great food , reasonably priced
We went as a party of 6 people & everyone was pleased with the overlander Inn. Great for parking ,all on the flat & would definitely go there again when in Tenby .
We went on a very rainy mid week day and it was quiet there , probably very busy on summer days , then best to book. Lovely little building.

The New Overlander Inn is well located reasonably close to Tenby. It takes about 30-40minutes to walk into Tenby along the beach, and it's a lovely walk. It is adjacent to a road so there is road noise in the day, but as your likely to be but that is not an issue. The road noise dies down in the evening so is not a disturbance over night. The train at the rear of the Inn rarely runs so again, no disturbance. The room in the roof is very nice and well looked after. Whilst it is called an Inn, they don't open until 5.00 and they close early if there are no customers, so as we couldn't be sure we'd get a drink we tended to go out and stay out, hence we didn't try their food either. This wasn't what we'd planned but there are some great restaurants in Tenby and the Cross Inn in Penally is 5 minutes walk. All in all, the Overlander was well located for us, we enjoyed our stay and could recommend it to others.

Stayed here for two nights with my Husband so that we could visit the area, and we were both very pleased with our stay. Our room was very clean and nicely decorated - a welcome sanctuary to return to after long days out. The bed is very comfortable, the bathroom is very spacious and there is excellent water pressure for the shower. The freee WiFi is very welcome too. We had dinner on one of the nights and the food was very tasty and good sized portions. All of the staff are very lovely and friendly. Well done to this family run business 😊

We booked a table in the New Overlander Inn based on reviews we had read on several review sites. Even though it was out of season and the Restaurant was technically closed, the Landlady brought in the chef early to accommodate us. There is ample parking at the Inn and several electric charge points at the Rail Station less than a hundred yards away. After a great prawn and smoked salmon salad I ordered the braised steak and my wife ordered home made steak pie. Both meals were perfect and beautifully tasty. It is defiantly worth your while to have a meal at the New Overlander Inn.

Karen was a wonderful hostess and provided us with a comfortable week, with excellent choices at the breakfast table. The guest house is in a very convenient position, with a railway station next door, a car park and a wonderful beach just ten minutes walk away. Our only problem was the sloping ceilings of our upstairs room, which, for two quite tall people, was challenging.

We ate here twice and each time were very pleasantly surprised with both the quality and service. The food we had was freshly prepared and well presented, albeit not the most extensive menus but what they had on offer was good quality at a good price. Would definitely recommend this establishment to anyone who asked.

Sunday evening dinner stop. Bright & airy restaurant but perhaps benefit from a little modernisation. The meals, my wife chose the steak & ale pie which she says was excellent. It was full of good chunks of beef. I chose the Sunday roast. The slices of beef were generously cut & there were ample vegetables for us to share. For sweets we chose jam roly poly & were delighted to find it was of a traditional suet recipe and not just jam roll cut up as we have experienced in many other places. The staff were friendly and overall we were more than satisfied with our evening here.

An ideal base for a short break in Pembrokeshire. 5 minutes from beach and an easy 40 minutes walk to Tenby. Room was comfortable, a good size and well equipped. Breakfast was plate service because of covid-19 and all food was good value. It doesn't pretend to be fine dining, but is tasty and plentiful.

The staff were all friendly and helpful, and were very conscientious about room servicing.

My only slight quibble was that there was insufficient lighting in the bathroom to be able to shave...... everything else was spot on.

Would recommend the New Overlander as a good holiday base, although a car is needed to make the most of its location.

Sorry I can't comment on what happens at Xmas as we weren't there. However I can say that it is small cosy there is a bar. It is a 5min train ride and the station at Penally is 50yds from the front door. All the food is freshly prepared and all the staff work very hard to ensure everything is to your liking. Hope this helps.
