Absolutely loved the vibe at this tranquil, laidback hostal. It is run by an amazing, super friendly couple who put a lot of love into the place. There's hammocks to chill out in and a little restaurant in which they serve excellent yoghurt and granola as breakfast, and where you can enjoy varying dinners. Just a stroll away from the...

We had a great experience at this affordable and family-owned hotel. A beautiful view, great food (thanks, Sophia!), surfboard rental, short walk to the beach, friendly pets, and above all, the helpful, considerate & lovely owners - Ion and Esther. We will be back, muchas gracias!!!

Kambutaleco is a very good place to stay accordind to the price and competitors, the owners are friendly, the place is clean as a 4 star hotel, privates rooms with private bathroom and toilets, no airco yet and slow wifi but 3 times cheaper than the other place in the neiborhood, up on the hill ( 5 mn walk to...

Hike or drive up to this great spot on the hill. The fruit bowl was outstanding huge bowl of fresh local fruit - melon, banana, pineapple topped with passion fruit. Breakfast was scrambled eggs, with patacones/some type of Spanish hash brown type thing and fresh sliced tomatoes with homemade feta cheese and they served it with olive oil and balsamic!...

This is the cheapest place to stay in Cambutal for a reason. The double room we stayed in has a musky smell because it had no windows. There is a fan but the only way to air out the room is to have the doors open at all times which wasn't an option for evenings (bugs) and nights (sleeping). They...

We really enjoyed our time here and were sad to leave. The rooms were thoroughly cleaned every day and were a perfect size for a couple. The views of the ocean are outstanding which you can watch from one of the many hammocks. Breakfast was great - a generous bowl of fresh fruit and coffee or tea with a view...

When you are sitting in the morning in the hammock and listening to the sound of waves, you will simply be happy. The rooms are clean, very friendly owners...make sure you will go for a horse ride, its worth it, they will help you arrange it. Come before it becomes touristy.

Kambutaleko is exactly what I want in accommodations; simple, clean, and great views. Ion and Esther are fantastic hosts. The fresh fruit breakfast was a treat. I could have stayed for weeks. And if I find myself in that corner of the world again, there's no doubt where I'll stay. The driveway would be tough in the rain without 4wd....
