Dear supercook123 Sorry to heat that Burns Night was not a success for you and your party. There was definitely plenty of food, nothing ran out during the evening and our long serving Head Chef was on duty and tastes everything before it goes out. Having spoken to him this morning, he was happy with everything that we served on...

Pub is good for families as there is a play area outside and large open space as well. My family spoke highly of the roast beef although the roast potatoes had seen too much of the inside of the oven. My meat pie was very flavoursome although the meat was a touch dry. Nothing a spot of gravy couldn't solve...

Dear Chris M Thank you for the family review of your lunch with us, great to hear that it hit the spot on almost all counts. We roast our potatoes in goose fat and do like them crispy! We shall pass on your comments about the pie to the team in the kitchen, always useful. Thanks for visiting us here...

We visited on a busy Saturday lunchtime and all ordered Ham, Egg and Chips. The food was delicious and the serving team were friendly, cheerful and prompt. If you're looking for a great value, high quality pub lunch around the Blandford area then this place hits the spot.

Dear Yargybarn, Wonderful review of what we like to think of as a proper pub lunch of local free range eggs, our own Langton Arms Butchery ham and homemade chips, it doesn't get better than that! Thank you for your kind words and praise of our hard-working team. Always a treat at Christmas time. Wishing you a great festive season!

After hearing very good reviews we felt a little let down three of us attended. I had a very good starter but it was followed by a poor Lasagne which was very dry overcooked and lacking flavour, my friend ordered the turkey which seemed to be processed the sort of meal you would expect in a harvester The service was...

Dear Ken S, Thank you for your review. Sorry to hear that not everything worked out as planned. We want people to have a wonderful meal with us every time they visit. Our turkeys are local and come from Graham Tory in nearby Blandford, free-range and local so they are usually fabulous. Clearly not the case this time. Did you...

Stayed overnight on Saturday night for a wedding, as the after party was there. Room was lovely, beds were extremely comfy. Staff were also incredible, namely a gentleman by the name of 'Vitor Ferreira', who worked behind the bar in the function room on that night. He was friendly, kind and a fantastic person all round. Bar staff ANYWHERE could...

We celebrated my husband's birthday here with a large party of friends and family. The owner could not have been more helpful, her staff polite and courteous, the food was fabulous. All the guests commented on this. Nothing was too much trouble before or during our meal. Thank you so much for making our surprise party so special.

We stayed one night here and would have liked to extend our visit but were booked on a ferry the next day. The room was more than adequate in a wing at the back of the inn. Dear Richard S Thank you for your lovely review of your overnight stay, dinner and breakfast with us. All our food is local and the meat all comes from our own butchery in the next village, we're really proud of its provenance. Do come and see us for that short country break if you are passing this way again.

Had a great time at the Langton Arms having spent the night there before our fishing trip. Staff and owner were extra friendly and really couldn't do enough. Food and service were to a good standard. Rooms were clean with tea and coffee making facilities. Breakfast was also very good made with local produce. Would definitely return.
