Spent 4 nights here towards the end of January with wife and 1 year old. Location is very remote which we found great, huge beach practically to ourselves. Facilities fantastic with excellent wifi, great pool and bathing area. Stayed in one of the smaller rooms but was more than ample for the 3 of us. It's a 40 minute drive...

Driving back up north we stayed there for one night. What a pleasant surprise. I wished I had time to stay more. Family owned business, great staff, very clean and nice rooms, great swimming pool and a good restaurant. What else to ask in front of one of Costa Rica most beautiful beach ! Wide isolated beach with almost no...

The hotel is quite far from the population but if you want a beach just for yourself it's the perfect location. The waves are quite big so be aware if you like calm water. The water is warm (warmer than tamarindo for example), I would say it's above 87.. There is also a volleyball net available. If you din't like...

As for the dogs, they are island dogs left to live loose and our guard does what he can to keep some of them alive and healthy and in exchange they...

My fiance and I arrived at Cocomar after dark. Like others have posted the hotel is located down a isolated dirt road. I woudl recommend the app Waze to help you around the area. The owner of the hotel was friendly and accommodating. The rooms are very large but not so clean- they smelled a bit musty and the the...

This hotel is beautifully situated on the beach, which spreads for miles in both directions and provides privacy like in paradise! The rooms on the 1st floor have a very nive view on the beach with lots of palm trees, which provide a lot of shadow. Official Description (provided by the hotel)
We are a small boutique property with only 20 units and hence very personalized service. We are located on the beach of Isla Palo Seco of Parrita, just two hours from San Jose, Costa Rica with nothing between you and the ocean except a few palm trees. We offer 1, 2 & 3 bedroom units. Anything from a standard hotel room to a full 2,200 sq ft. living area with full kitchen and dining area. Isla Palo Seco is still one of the undiscovered authentic beach destinations unspoiled by loads of tourists, yet has a local community to fulfill basic needs while vacationing. The city of Parrita is a ten-minute drive away and has banks, supermarkets, restaurants, shopping, churches and a medical clinic. There are taxis and bus service to Quepos, Jaco and San Jose. ... more   less
