The hotel is located 10 minutes away by car from Puerto Jimenez. The gardens surrounding the quiet rooms are absolutely beautiful. The rooms are comfortable, so is the big bathroom. Every room is very quiet and has a terrace. The food served at the restaurant is delicious and cheap. Last but not least, the owners and the staff are fantastic...

We did not stay at the hotel, but this seems to be the only place to review the tour that the farm offers in conjunction with the hotel. The two hour tour covers cocoa production and processing as mentioned in other reviews, but also includes many other tropical fruits and crops. We had six people in our tour which was...

As a boutique tour company that travels all over the world, we are always looking for wonderful, authentic tours that connect with our travelers, well Finka Kobo is just that type of experience. The walk through the gardens, tasting and learning is worth the trip even if your not interested in chocolate production. If you are a chocolate lover, well...

This tour was waaay better than we were expecting. We went expecting to learn about chocolate and the chocolate production process and we got a crash course in Costa Rican agriculture and the global importance of preserving heritage species of indigenous fruits and flowers. Alex, the main guide on our tour, was a fountain of both knowledge and passion on...

We visited the finca yesterday and did the informative cacao tour with all the wonderful extras. We loved Alex ' s passion for the farm and the fact he's running the farm in an ecologically sensitive way. We also loved the wealth of information that he shared and the chance to taste different fruits, including cacao along the way. The...

Very informative tour about organic farming in the tropics and specifically about growing cacao and making chocolate. It was hot, but the shade helped. The samples of chocolate fondue and organic fruits was a real treat. We bought some chocolate and brought it home. It made wonderful chocolate lava cake. Much more interesting than I had thought it would be

Very nice place run by an Austrian / Costar Rican couple. Clean rooms, friendly staff, excellent food - all from their own organic garden. The main attraction is the finca itself with its beautiful plantation & cacao tour. The tour is very interesting and includes a lot of tasting (all fruits from their fruit trees as well as cacao-beans &...

As a couple of chocoholics it was recommended to my wife and myself that we take advantage of the chocolate tour available at Finca Kobo. We have to say that the tour put on by Finca Kobo was entertaining and informative. The tour was led by a very personable and capable young man who went out of his way to...

Great chocolate, great tour and information but even greater people! Alex and his wife who own the place have such a great outlook on life, a love of Costa Rica, and so much knowledge. We learned all about the fruits and produce grown in Costa Rica, sampled so many new things and tasted some amazing chocolate. The day was hot...
